I recently got back to working on my second tier troops for catholic factions, such as light sergeants and urban militias, the ones that start with padded gambesons and upgrade to light mail.
Since the bodies were not identical to the bodies of peasants, the attachments required re-positioning.

This is a presentation of the canteens/flasks:

granted that you rarely stop by and zoom on such kind of units, I would say it's good enough, even tho the texture seems a bit "rough"

Ok if 1 to 6 from left to right and up to bottom, then I would say 1 & 5 looks too mirrored if you see what I mean and also a bit pixelated.
2 is too much pixelated IMO.

    Hope that helps !

    I know, I agree.
Three is also mirrored, though it's not the textures, it's the UV mapping in all 1, 3 and 5.
I did that to save space in the texture map.
I really did try to utilize every pixel.

If you can't do better, TBH, that should not be a big issue, like I said, you rarely pause and zoom this kind of units, and probably not at this level of details

Actually, I was wondering the same. This doesn't question the quality of your work Pal (wich is good btw), but is it worth to use pixels for such details?

Well, it really doesn't take many pixels and it only take a few extra of them to make the difference.
Here is an in-game screenie where the same attachments can be seen on peasant archers.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

My problem is that for the padded militias/sergeants, the available space for attachments got even more squeezed and their spot on the model had to be re-positioned as there are falchions where the flasks are located on the model above.
The attachments here are made of six types of flasks/canteens, six types of belt bags/purses and three types of knives.

It is my intention to swap the knives with 12th century daggers and I am orienting towards removing one or two of the canteens and purses types respectively to make room for better textures.
I'm posting here for the feedback.

I actually think those look perfectly fine once they're in game and you're not zoomed in directly looking at it in the modeler.

Yes, well, that was the idea and I hope it will be the same with these babies over here, the passive quillon daggers that will be added as accessories.

Finally the belt purses are complete, both meshes and most of the textures have been reworked:

I still have to rework the normal maps and then test them in game to see if they move correctly before I can upload the model.
    Comments are welcome.

The top 3 look really good, but the bottom 3 look a little off. I imagine they look better in game and not zoomed in though. Either way, great work.

Way too much of the graphics' looks in-game depend on the normal map.
How do you mean "a little off"?

The pouch flaps on the top 3 look much cleaner than the bottom 3.
