A rag-tag of tents rise in the Norman part of the crusader camp, banners displaying the boar's head of the House of Cailly. The men, women and children who have set up their temporary encampment here are oftentimes nothing but poor serfs or farmers, clad in padded tunics and armed with spears, from southern Normandy, yet their zealotry for the holy cause makes up for their low quality. A few knights with better equipment can be seen from time to time, though they, along with their leader, can most often be found close to the tent of Duke Robert Curthose.
Seigneur Balderic de Cailly's tent does not stand out except for the fact that a few more banners hang around its sides. The interior houses simple and the most basic of furniture, equipment and weapons that a knight would need.
