    Default Wrong Stats?

I think some unit stat are wrong because it don't show the reality on the battlefield, the best example is the heavy cavalery, most of the last heavy cavalery have exactly the same stats like the Lancers who is better than the Noble Knights even if they have less defence.

It's a bug or CA has forgot to update unit stats?:hmmm:

I don't think It's a bug, but when the patch comes out the unpacker comes with It so we'll be able to mod the unit stats no problem.

Leonidas: "So much the better, we shall fight them in the shade."

yes we'll be able to mod the unit stat for SP but it will be always a real problem for MP.

I completely agree that the bare stats don't give the whole picture.

A friend of mine insists that Janissary heavies butcher virtually every other infantry type, yet statistics alone don't convey this.

Also, units with an intrinsically low armour rating can sometimes obtain a higher armour type (ie chain, plate) than some others (militia pikes are a good example of a unit with a very low base armour rating which can take a lot of upgrades, yet still have a lower armour rating than some units with a theoretically weaker 'armour type' ).

Not wrong, as lusted said, just hidden in certain aspects. Common sense prevails in this one. Janissary Heavy Infantry have good stats, armour penetration and long weapons. They tend to either outpower, outrange or out-pace most other infantry in a melee one on one as a result.

Hit them when they are tied up with something else and they will crumble because of mediocre defensive stats.

It's not a bug. Even though the stats look the same, many cavalry units have variations in how much of their defence rating applies to their armour/shield/defense skill, and the horse armour isn't shown in a units stats. So even though they may all look the same stats wise, they do all fight the same.

yea i notice it aswell, i find 2 handed lancer is same as lancer and shield charge stats. Dont you think 2handed should have better charge?

there are some odd stats though.

    halberdiers for example
    and dismounted english knights.

compare dismounted english knights with dismounted feudal knights, armoured swordsmen, and french dismounted noble and chivalric knights.
it looks like the attack and defence ratings are the wrong way round.
