    Default Roman colonist

I read on a some post in this forum that number of colonist gotten every 16 turns is equal to the number of "municipia et civitas populi romani"; in my current game, I have 3 cities with such a govern (Rome, Capua, Arretium), but number of colonist is always 1. Am i doing something wrong?

No, you don't. actually the number of colonists increase with the number of top gov buildings for CARTHAGE. Rome has only 1 every 4 turns no matter what.IMO should be enough though given their limited applicability (Italy only) AFAIK.

Indeed, I think Rome (by design) is the only municip that can send colonists out before the Marian era.

Roman colonies can be built outside of Italia after the Marian reforms, just like in EB1. Of course, the Marian reforms aren't done yet.

Man those Romans must have been doing it a lot. That's a lot of people to be sending off to settle other places.

Italy had collosal reserves of manpower. It's one of the Romans often unremarked upon advantages over other peoples they came into contact with. What other civilisation of the time could lose an army of 50,000 men in a battle, and within the space of weeks raise another army of the same size to put into the field?
