Yeah, some odd behavior with the AI moving stacks around with only one or two units, IMO, the game would be much better if CA somehow made it so that the AI would move ARMIES instead of 100 man "raiding parties" to attack.

Today, I was at war with the Turks, and the Turkish Sultan was out in the open, alone, by himself, in the middle of nowhere. Instead of taking the time to try to assassinate him with my level 9 assassin, I sent five units of horse archers to attack and killed him. Convenient, yes, but strange? Hell yeah.

I've had similar occurances, in one campaign I saw the King of Portugal and his heir in the same party without any troops just roaming around the map.

It could also be that King Noel's Mistress convinced him to visit Jerusalem in the hope that he gives up his adulterating way and make him want to repent in Jerusalem but in order to reach the birth place of Christ he decides to go via Constantinople because of the all the fine Roman-Greek women there.
