Excuse me but isnt there a general rule in hotseats that each unit of siege equipment can be used just once during the turn? Or it does not apply to this HS?

EDIT: I ask because my whole defense based on this rule.

That is not a general rule, and I would not even say a common rule. If that was the case though, I had two siege weapons and would just not have taken Caen.

If such a rule takes place, then it is clarified by the rules. Usually you can use siege weapons any times you want to.

If I counted it correctly there are about 18 officially open SS spots (unoficially most likely more). Not sure if any mod has ever had so many open spots in the same time. It is necessary that some SS hotseats are closed in order to fill the remaining open SS hotseats. Going on like this will only overburden people, so even more of them would leave.

So the question is, can this one be potentionally ended?

Its obvious that I didnt read the rules carefully enough. I knew that in this HS spies are useless and now I find out that the same applies to the forts. I have to admit that I am disappointed because it takes away the complexity of the game, we have fewer strategic options, therefore the strategy is less important, which affects my motivation to play.

So, can we talk about the future of this HS? I may be able to deal with Venice and Byzantines but once England falls, Portugal will be too strong.
