One thing, how will the economic points system work with things like bribery? FOr example, in GoT, money could change hands to bribe someone to join your side in a battle. Will we be able to do that, except with economic points instead of actual gold?

Also, can we go with a name for the Battlefields that keeps in line with the other thread naming style? Like, The Fields of the Dead?

Don't see any reason why I should change the name. So I am just gonna keep it the way it is. I already asked a mod nicely to change this entire forum for us.

The rules are very basic right now. I have no rules on bribery, so I wouldn't know what to say about it. The best answer is that I saw no need for bribery this early on in the game and possibly never needed in the game.

Why aren't you guys permitted to change things in the RPG forum? Seems weird that you run the place but can't change anything in the forum.

That's left to Hex Moderators. We had Poach as our forum friendly hex, now its m_1512. I am not sure why either, but doesn't bother me. The Shed is more of an overseer/police group that keeps everything running daily and keeping order.

I would recommend finding people who are close to your starting point and trying to team up with those of equal or greater rank. It will be helpful when it comes to settling territory and forming vassal-liege relationships. As well as forming factions among the crusaders and rivalries/allies.

For example: Vernon wants to be a knight of the de Villehardouin family, the great-great-great grandfather of Geoffrey or something. I was gonna either be Hugh de Vermandois, the brother of Philip I or make up a Capetian relative of Philip I and I offered him to team up with my char. He agreed to joining up with my character as a vassal/retainer since I would be near his starting point area in Northern France.

That would be the best choice, grouping into areas, starting as other players vassals and so on. Creating ties from the very start of the rp. For example, Jok will probably be a retainer of my character, Robert Curthose.

My princely char is starting off in Northern France, so Robert Curthouse could join up with my guy. He will either be Hugh de Vermandois or a made up brother of Philip I and Hugh.

If I go the made up route, I am either going with Julien or Maurice as the first name and de Soissons (Amiens) or de Baalun (Maine) as the surname. He is gonna be the brother of Philip I and Hugh de Vermandois (if I don't choose him). Iron approves of Julien de Baalun, which sounds like a good name.

I see Italians and I raise you German duke / son-in-law to HRE Emperor. Possibly. Depending on the route there may be son sense in a converging.

It makes sense due to the time frame. Historically Theo had seven children documented and I think Agnes had about the same.

Yeah that was poor English. I am rolling a German so depending on the routes taken, your retinue may have joined with the German contingent.

Well time to have some Silesians and Poles and the odd drunken Ruthanian Priest for my crew. What I am going to represent is an entire clan up and leaving for the holy land, and I have 1,000 fighting men, but what about non-combantants like wives, servants, children, baggage handles, blacksmiths etc....

Also here is a question I debated with Narf last night, were the Northern/Baltic Crusades more Brutal or the Holy Land ones? I mean there was full scale genocide and ethnic cleansing in the Baltic and even Novgorod was almost conquered
