Here is a tutorial of mine on how to create registry entries for the launcher, but I am fairly sure that won't be necessary.
The great conflict does not have a shortcut it has a bat file and it does not work it only opens a a CMD window and then crashes same as kingdoms shortcuts. Its a fresh reinstal, kingdoms must have a registry
I instaled TATW and i tryed runing the shortcut and it does not help

Could it be that TATW does not work cuz i need to rename a folder or something?
    Thanks for respoding.
    Im not a steam user.

Please install these desktop shortcuts and try if they work.
Describe WHEN the crash happens, like 'the splash screen shows, then crash' or 'nothing happens after the CMD window'

Sorry about the mix up. Seeing that the shortcuts closed and didn't stay open means the installation is fine.

I checked the rest of the conversation and we haven't tried to give admin rights to the executable file:

    1. Right click the kingdoms.exe file (medieval2.exe if you are on Steam)
    2. select 'properties'
    3. click on 'compatibility' tab
    4. tick mark the 'run as an administrator' box
    5. click 'apply'
    6. click 'ok'

If you have the disk version repeat the process with the medieval2.exe file

    OH my
This not my first instalation.I alredy had DAC instaled and hiers of elendil submod instaled and it worked fine.
One day it just didnt want to open.No mod opens since then not even expansions except via launcher.Yes kingdoms.exe has admin rights even now after reinstalation i gave it admin rights.

I dont know if it has aything to do with Red dead redemption 2 but after i instaled it on a nearly full disk i got this problem
Few days after i instaled RD2 even my witcher wont work :p
So im wondering if it is some kind of a dixk ishue or a virus or something like that?

Lack of disk space is a possibility - make some space on your disk and then try again.

First try to re-install outside the default directory. I usually install into c:\games\m2tw - the reason for it is the virtual store behavior of the program files directory.
