MAARC LX!
Congratulations to the winners!
In FIRST PLACE,Alwyn and his Empire AAR Kite Pep Mwen An Ale: Let My People Go. This AAR uses a faction that is unique on the forum, Haiti. With the use of mods Alwyn has taken up the challenge to writing a spectacular story using a faction that is not as well known as the giants of the day such as Britain and France. It is also unique as thus far the AAR has dealt with mainly naval battles, an aspect of Total War games that many other writers give little or no attention to. It is the uniqueness and the amazing story of this AAR that has seen it take first place.
After a fierce tie breaker, in SECOND PLACE, we have the M2TW AAR, The Tin Isles, by waveman. This AAR starts in 450 AD in Britannia. The Roman Empire in the west is in it final days and as the Empire's power fades the the tribes of the British Isles seek to exert their own power. waveman does an excellent job of telling the tale of the Ebrauc as they fight, engage in intrigue, and spread across the British Isles. This an exceptional work of art and I suggest all to stop by and take a look for yourselves. I'm sure you'll agree.
THIRD PLACE, is Lugotorix and his Attila AAR Trapstila Vandalarius: The Rise of The Romano-Gothic Empire. Once again this excellent AAR has graced the winners circle. Read as the Ostrogoths establish a empire as they fight the Romans, separatist and rival tribes. However, not all the enemies of the state or external. Political intrigue in this AAR can lead to injury, change in leadership and perhaps even death. Will the Ostrogoths prevail? Only one way to find out.
