CTD when entering battles

I have the same problem i get " [error] Medieval 2: Total War encountered an unspecified error and will now exit."
This goes for any battle and ive tried for differnt campaigns from the kingdom of leon to the kingdom of norway, nothing seems to work i tried to install SS6.4 BUGFIX COMPILATION v1.27
But it seemed to not do a thing ?? knowing my coding/modding skills i probally did it wrong if anyone wants to help feel free too it would be much appreaciated.

But im using the steam version as well, Just thought you guys should know.
Any help esspeccially Really dumbed down would be helpful and if you could either get me on skype or steam, That would be much obliged,

Did you follow the recommended install instructions for SS with steam ?

Wait could it be SS conflicting with another mod For example Tameriel world mod thingy?

Not to the T i watched a video explaining how to do it, But
I also tried Lands to conquer and it CTD's whenever it feels like but with the same Error (unspescified error ...Etc..etc

I am not familiar with installing SS on steam, but i doubt that other mods conflicting each other. Your problem seems to be a faulty installation, i would suggest to backup your current game files/folders and do a clean install with the tutorial i mentioned. If this still does not work, maybe someone with the steam version in this forum can help you out.

Turns out its not as the other mod (Europa barbarourum) crashed with battles too, and it seems even attila total war is doing it?!?

Installing SS on steam is basically the same as for the CD version, NEVER rename mod folders, that is a bad solution.
The trick with steam, is that you need to create a copy of medieval2.exe and rename it to kingdoms.exe
Then use the executable inside SS mod folder (SS_Launcher.exe) and all should work fine, with exception of the strings.bin files that wont' rebuild, you can get them from steam fix link in my signature.

Now as for your CTD's
Does vanilla M2 works fine for you?
I suspect what you have is a bad install, possibly caused by windows UAC and/or Virtual Store.
My best advice is to Install M2 completely outside of Program Files folder, you can instruct Steam to install this particular game elsewhere than the regular CommonApps folder.

I have also, reinstalled MTW2 yesterday aswell (Took 6 hours,) So im not doing that again

SIDE NOTE (Fixed the issue thank you) So i did as you said and renamed it and used the launcher.exe in SS and the battles now work, i dont know what i/you did But thank you, Thank you so much!

Yes vanilla works like a dream for me, Its just this mod and others for MTW2.
(Side note attilla is fixed) But ill try doing what you said with MTW2
