Shadows! The laggiest thing i know
During my time playing Med2 the Lag was really annoying, i never experienced such a laggy game, then i decided to turn down my graphics settings and nothing worked until i turned shadows off. VIOLA! The game was running lag free. But I thought to myself, why were shadows the big lag bringer, it never does this on any of my other games including rome.
Why are shadows one of the main causes of game lag?

At least they've improved the graphical quality of them in the Full version.
But yeah they are a huge slow down, and I wish they were Soft shadows - though that'd be more laggier in the end
Best have them turned off unless you've got them on Extreme.

because with complex shadows thye have to move they aroudn and ragdoll thme like the actuly troops so its basicly dealing wiht twice as many you need a beefy processor to run with shadows. Softshdows and FSAA in FEAR destroy fps too.

Re: Shadows! The laggiest thing i know
They should really add stencil shadows like 1.5 Rome, no slowdown and even prettier than 3d shadows.

I agree. Or even simple blobby shadows just to anchor the units to the ground. No speed decrease for those.
