Units dont throw their ammo during charge?

Hey guys, while playing today I noticed something weird, I would send my troops to charge an enemy flank (they have javelins, blue bar was full), and they charged, but they did not throw any javelins.

Also during that same battle I had some light troops behind the main line and they also simply did not want to release their missiles.

I tried toggling fire at will on and off with no success.

I guess it could be a simple bug for that battle only, but figured might as well mention it.

I've never seen that happen before. Are you using other mods which affect missiles?

Sometimes rare bugs happen, but if this is the case it would be helpful if you would make sure that the problem isn't on your end. Also, if you would try another battle or two just to be sure.

Like I said, I've never seen this happen before, and I've played with this mod enough that I can be pretty sure that DeI itself isn't known to have this issue.

I am currently under the impression that its one of 2 things:

A unit has a bug in it.
The battle itself was somehow bugged.

I am using DEI, ancient empire and experimental BAI pack, thats it.

Ancient empires has a lot of changes and is in beta.

I bet it's because you have experimental BAI pack with AE. Ancient empires has its own battle system so i think that thats your conflict.

If anyone have AE they should post bug reports at their own thread as we on the team of DeI will start looking for faults in our mod when they could be due to AE. Not that its a big problem but its somewhat kind of a waste for us when its usually because of their submod

Could be a unit bug, whats the name?
A second possibility would be, the charge was not properly done so the throw wasnt triggered.

But Butan, usually when people have AE installed its a problem on their side and not ours. Imo the problem is rarely due to DeI since we as the testers have discovered most bugs, are due to to submods causing problems or problems on the users end. Im not saying that we dont have problems but most are due to submods or faulty install

The unit I noticed that did not throw while charging was the Galatian Sell-Swords. Hired as mercenaries during my Carthage playthrough. I could be AE, I have no idea. I will keep an eye on it. It may have just been a one time thing since I havent noticed it as a regular occurence.

From what I know while playing AE, it is AE deal. Like already wrote, if you use submods that change battles, post in their respective threads.

If they had their own forum I would have asked some one to move it there, but unfortunately they only have one post from what I saw. As I stated before, I will keep an eye on it, if I see it as a regular occurence I will make sure to let them know.

But that is their mod for Atilla, not Rome 2. I realize its probably the same team, and probably very similar if not identical assets, but its still not connected to DEI therefore moving this threat there would be counter productive. I am certain one of their team members will end up reading this post sooner or later anyways.

However, I do also realize that the forum that you linked has some posts relating to Rome 2 and DEI, if you anyone in would would like to, feel free to move this one.

I believe that every post written to AE on the DeI subforum is directed for AE for Rome 2 and not their Attilla version. But no problem that you post it here. Still here to help though if you could remove AE and reproduce the bug we would know if it is DeI related
