    Default gadir a historical city

why is not gadir in the strategic map?
gadir is one of the most important and strategic cities of the ancient world.
gadir was called by phoenician and carthaginians
then it was called gades by the romans.
gadir rivaling carthage and then with rome in splendor and wealth.
today exist this city, one of the oldest in the world.

It's not there because the Attila map doesn't have a city that matches it. The only port city in southern Iberia is Malaca (which is too far to the east) and the major city of southwest Iberia is Hispalis (which is far inland). CA has made it almost impossible to modify the strategic map, so it may not ever be an option.

Yea, this isn't really an option on our part. We can always rename Malaca, but that's about it. Creating new cities is an impossibility, unfortunately. Far worse for this time period is the absence of anything to serve as Numantia, though. Otherwise, Iberia on the Attila map is pretty great. Gadir was an important city, but the reality is it wasn't a place fought over much after this point. The Romans owned it and would continue to own it for a very long time.

If anyone has any ideas on Numantia, I'd like to hear. We can custom maps, but the city we have closest to it is a very poor stand-in geographically speaking.

I've been doing an Attila->AE renaming project in my spare time, and the closest I've come is either Segontia (Arevaci) or Bilbilis (Lusones) for Caesaragusta, and Iruna (Vascones) for Pompaelo.

CA should provide the necessary tools to modify the campaign map is basic for a mod to change the campaign map.
specially mods of fantasy like the lord of the rings, without it can not do these mods.
i would have liked to see such an important ancient city as gadir or see three regions in sicily in this mod.
hopefully you to do something about the second punic war.

Baring in mind that the LOTR mods could be counted as illegal and CA would be in trouble. Which is why campmap editing isn't possible

Good luck on getting them to realize that. We're on the third year of the current-gen games with no tools to do it, and none expected.

The map from The Last Roman has both Gades and a three-settlement Sicily. It's probably perfect for a Punic/Cantabrian War(s) scenario.

And Numantia? The city that took longest to conquer in the history of Rome is not going to be in AE?

We're not sure what setting the Last Roman campaign map would be best suited for. We've considered the punic wars but the main campaign is kind of that too.

Well I've discussed this with ABH a bit and we even chatted about the value of getting the DLC (as it was on sale). I believed that the DLC map would have been the events leading up to the main campaign (so the second punic war, maybe even the first) as a kind of prologue as it were. Im not sure if Attila has a prologue map, not something Ive personally checked. Also the DLC map could also be a nice civil war map for either the trimviurate or year of the four emperors.

if its not on the map, its not on the map... I wish it was, but maybe I can do a nice historical battle or some such to replace that aching hole in our hearts xD

What I mean is that Numantia is more or less in the same point that Caesaraugusta and it was an important city rather than Segontia
