Default Your favorite mod combination (that includes DeI) for an exciting and immersive campaign?

I can never decide what mods/sub-mod combinations I should roll with and can never figure out what other crucial mods I need (like camera mods? Texture mods?). I am hoping the bright minds here have figured out some immersive modpacks that utilise DeI?

Don't use camera mods with DeI. They'll mess with scripts and break reforms. DeI already includes a camera mod because of this. As for the other stuff, whatever you want I guess. Check out the DeI submod forum and see if there's something you like.

Even only battle camera mods? I use a custom 3m max height mod (for "man high" scouting and challenging deployment - awareness) and never had an issue, even with the testing files.
This + realism battle mode on, and disabling flags/trails and all helping markers are what I use for battle modifications atm. No submods really.

For campaign, 12TPY and I'm all good. Its preferable like that since I need to test the stuff.

    I have (along with DEI)
    Ancient Empires
    Levies from client States
Better Levies from client states (this allows Levies from Barracks tier units)
More Levies from Client States (larger amount of levies in pool)

I can recommend these two texture mods:

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfile.../?id=192539590 - for better animal textures (horses, dogs, elephants, camels)

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfile.../?id=193852337 - for better siege textures (siege equipment, siege engines, walls, towers, gates)

The only sub-mods that I use are Augustus's Training Building Bonuses Removed, and the Hardcore pack. Both can be found in the Sub-Mods section of this forum.

Otherwise, in addition to the two mentioned above, here are some good graphics/texture mods that you can use with DeI:
    http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfile.../?id=197334227
    http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfile.../?id=309480940
    http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfile.../?id=310675480
    http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfile.../?id=325816528
    http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfile.../?id=220678409

I would also recommend a good music mod, and you've got several options to choose from in that regard:
    http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfile.../?id=263097925
    http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfile.../?id=326446887
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfile.../?id=507711439 (be sure to get all four parts if you choose this last one)

    Enjoy!

Many camera mods use scripts, hence manual changes mostly don't do that.

I use very few mods to be honest Most DEI submods.

I have a collection here : http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfile.../?id=519479200 which is what i use for coop.

Essentially its DEI 1-6, Diplomacy options, Faster Battles (though i will drop this soon as im loving the new 1.1 battles) No PO Garrison, AFP, Reduced Upkeep (Yeah im a wimp).

The non DEI submods that are in the pack are.

My Epic Music Packs 1-4, which i prefer way more then dynamic pack, they are also quieter so better for Coop using teamspeak
Bloodier animations but units stay in formation
Improved tech bonuses (Essentially just gives your more for completing a research group)

I use a lot and they're cited in the order they load in Steam's mod manager.
UM Centurion's unit cards for Dei: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...t=UM+Centurion
Dei reduced unit upkeep cost: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...t+upkeep+costs
Caesar's legions for Dei (gives you named and numbered historical legions with unique colors and shields): http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...rsive-campaign
Less Civil War for Dei: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...Less+civil+war
No PO penalty for garrisoning units in cities: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...r+army+in+city
    Dei 1 & 2
    Increased army limits: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...army+limit+cap
    Aztec's environments: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...ted-12-09-2014)
    Bloodbath: http://www.mediafire.com/download/kq60lx2r7390dm3/bloodbath.pack
    Enhanced particles (dust trails):http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...nced-Particles

The last two are just spectacular, but they're resource hogs so you need a pretty muscular system.
    Enjoy.

"With a population of around a million, Rome (in Claudius' time) was a vast city even by modern standards. It is worth pointing out that during the early Renaissance the population of Rome was no more than fifteen thousand-- living amid the ruins of a civilization that dwarfed their own. It was not until the nineteenth century that the population of Rome returned to the levels it had enjoyed under the Caesars. That is eloquent proof of the fact that human history is not a tale of steady progress towards greater knowledge and achievement." Simon Scarrow

He's probably using the standalone, which is in two parts.

I use the legions submod, along with the following that do not appear to have been mentioned above:

Concentrate fire - allows targeting of fire at will units including
Dresden's superb CharacterXP, Replenishment and Siege mods for 4TPY
Dresden's Sack, Liberate etc. mod - allows more options
Agents UI pack - more interesting art icons for agents
Closer pike formations - the DEI version
MTW Combat - a combat mod designed to replicate the MTW2 feeling (possibly a placebo mod, but it works for me)

I was also using Natural Dyes, but haven't updated that one yet so it's crashing the game.
Currently following these promising mods - Imperia Antiquitatis by Splenyi
    Traits, Talents, and Toadies
    by Hellbent
    Real Roman Reforms
    by Aodh Mor
    Unit Icons project
    by Bullgod
    Also recommended:
City Sack, Liberation and Diplomatic Options
    by Dresden

Yes standalone; Dresden has indicated that it's somewhat preferable for reasons I don't recall, but has been very stable.

There are some elite unit reskins that I've always really really wished worked with DeI. (such as Zaskar's Lions of Carthage)
