    Default Voide acting

I've checked and I haven't seen on the voices of the units so i'll post my opinions, maybe it's fixed in the music pack I don't know.

However (and PLEASE don't take this the wrong way) the voices when you select the unit cards, or the end of battle victory / loss speech are... awful.

It's getting hard not to laugh when I select gondorian bowmen

The mod is great other than the odd missing unit card ETC and i'm having fun with it, although I feel sorry for Rhun as they conquer two of my settlements and they rebel in 2-3 turns with gold experience units in it. I'm not really in a big war with them but if I wanted too I could wipe them out easily.

I think the voice acting is generally very good, especially considering our awesome (non-existant) sound studios. There are a few which I don't like (Militia!), but on the whole they're pretty good. That said, if you feel that they are destroying your experience, you can turn them off in preferences.txt by changing ENABLE_UNIT_SPEECH:TRUE to ENABLE_UNIT_SPEECH:FALSE.

Are there any specific that doesn't sound good, or any faction or so?

Finding good voice actors is very hard. People have tried and discovered it is not as easy as they thought. This is one of those areas where the 'public' could really help us out. Please submit your voice samples!

Well I haven't played many mods but the ones I have they all link to existing voices from the original rome total war.

This may be better seeing as how i'll select the unit and get the "gondorian" accent but then when I tell them to attack or go into a formation it's all the roman voices. Like when I capture a settlement "Rome has conquered".

I mean i'll try doing some as I have a mic and see how they come out. My hints?

    Shouting doesn't make it good.
LOSSARNACH axemen, axemen seems like an afterthought, it's things like that.

I've only played as the reunited kingdoms so I can't comment on other factions, the rest of the mod is good don't get me wrong I'm not knocking the whole thing and the work you've put into it is much appreciated.

I just noticed this: you don't have the music pack installed?

No, my desktop has a terrible graphics card so I play on my laptop but that lacks internet so when I get a mod I have to DL it, burn it to CD, copy it to laptop...

I have a memory stick but it's a piece of junk (64meg) and I only had a CD-R so I transferred just the CI mod and patch with some other mods, no music patch.

You need to shout as loud as you can for unit voices. Believe me, 99% of people who submitted samples did not shout (or shout very loud) and it sounds terrible. Of course, you have to get the shouting right too - oh, and do not try too many in one session as you'll find your throat red-raw

We look forward to receiving any samples.

Ah, right. Well, if you have the time and resources, I would recommend trying to get the mp installed, as well - it really makes a huge difference to the athmosphere of the mod. It is good to hear that someone would go to the trouble of burning the mod to a CD to be able to play

Try packing the musicpack with WinRAR into several (3) parts, then transfer one at a time over to your laptop, and then assemble there
