How many tries it took you Chieftain to get that victory?

Well, surprisingly enough the first attempt was a victory. So I figured it wasn't a hard battle. Then I realised I made a little mistake in my turn so I started all over again, which was shocking because then I needed about 15 reloads to get a victory, lol.

That has happened to me before. Sometimes the very first time you do a battle is better AR for whatever reason. And if you don't take it or have to replay, you have to work hard to get that good fortune again.

According to the rules, you can't sally out because I besieged Isengard with defeated units inside. It's this rule:

The previous rule includes sieges – if defeated units retreat to a settlement and the enemy immediately lays siege, the defending army may not sally out on the turn immediately after the defeat, even if there are units inside the settlement which were not defeated.

That's why I disbanded the defeated units

The rule is avoided that way. I was not even able to attack first since I'm after you in turn order. So by disbanding the defeated units the game enginge sees no defeated units and I'm good to go.

That can't be legal? I only besieged the settlement knowing that this rule was in place, preventing you from sallying out. If I'd known this was possible, I would never risk such a siege, especially seeing how this rule is phrased.
