    Default Reinforcements just stand there?

Playing the game last night, I set my 6 star "night fighter" general to command the reinforcements while my 3 star king attacked a full and balanced stack of Elite Scotsmen in mountainous terrain.

I moved my archers into position to attack and maneuvered cav and infantry toward the Scots line, waiting for the reinforcements to attack them in the rear... Anticipating great confusion and mayhem to result.

The reinforcement rushed up a troop of archers to provide covering fire while the rest of the line of infantry and cav moved forward into positon behind them.

... and then they just stood there.

    ... and stood there.

    So I attacked.

My boy's were getting the S kicked out of them by the Scots defenders on the hill while my "reinforcement" stood above them to watch the show. Eventually through careful cav charges I was able to begin collapsing the enemy line.

Eventually I won the battle, but my losses were devastating - pyhhric victory due to the Scot's superior position on the hill and my inactive reinforcements.

    Anyone else seen this?

Were your reinforcements placed under AI control? If you have them under player control, all the reinforcements do is enter the map. Then its up to you to move them into position.

If they are under AI control, then it might be due to the passive AI bug.

I chose AI control due to the high starr-ed-ness of my general. Thought he'd be smart enough to command the reserves.

Passive AI bug = no fun.
