AI on normal mode ?
Is it just me but conquering the AI in normal builds nothing but peasant armies in their fortresses.
I'm playing in normal difficulty and now I started my conquest expansion ( year 1180+) and when targeting Fortresses it's full of nothing but peasants with maybe 1 unit of heavy infantry and their General's unit.
To me why are you going to spend the money to upgrade a castle to a Fortress/Citadel and then not use it? My question really is, is there I way I can change this behaviour for the AI? I mean they should be training advance units as time moves on.
And second question, if I play on hard mode, does the AI simply cheats or that's when it really gets "smarter" ?
Thanks!

Re: AI on normal mode ?
Now, from what I've read on the official TW forums, it says it gets 5000+ on hard and 10000+ on Very Hard. I don't know if it gets any bonuses on hard, but I did play a Medium campaign once with Venice and I never experience peasant happy armies. What faction are you?
