Default Troop Type + Distance = Different Fatigue

Last night I was playing as France moving into Portugal for the kill. I ended up running them into the mountains. This was a great map, they were hidden all the way at the top of it. Something I noticed that I thought I'd point out if you didnt' know already is that

"the more armor a unit is wearing effects their fatigue on how far they walk."

All of my Dismounted Fuedal Knights were exhausted by the time they reached the top. All of my Cav (light/heavy) we're Fresh. And my archers/pikemen/arti were some what fatigued.

Just thought I'd point that out as it didn't really effect things much in RTW.

Huh... I never saw much of an impact, it was slight I'll agree with you; but not as drastic as this is now. I like it though, good stuff.

erm.. could it be that your light cav wasnt exhausted because they were on horses???!! lol - of course they werent fatigued.

but yes, different units have different rates of fatigue. cavalry, however, light or heavy - easily has more stamina than any infantry.

this is what the 'very good stamina' trait is good for.

It's also why its worth resting after a strenuous march, just up the timer, sit tight and wait for them to regain some stamina - although with militia spearmen you could be in for a particularly long wait!

PS Of course this is only really viable if you have the battle timer off I guess.

Apologies for the quote reply, meant to edit my original post.
