    Default DEI Grand Campaign Crash

    Thanks in advance for any help given here; I have been looking over the forums all afternoon and found no advice which led to a solution, so I've created this account to make a post and find some help.

    Over a fresh install of Rome 2 using patch 17, with data folder cleared and the cache verified, I've downloaded parts 1 and 2 of DEI and placed both .pack files in my data folder (I'm unsure which purpose the accompanying .png files serve, so I sent them over to data as well. I've also tried starting things up after deleting them but the results were no different). After having placed the two .pack files in the data folder, I created the user.script.txt in my scripts folder and entered the following text as recommended:

    mod _divide_et_impera_release_1.pack;
    mod _divide_et_impera_release_2.pack;

    After doing so, I was able to successfully launch DEI. I was also able to play custom battles and even begin a campaign with the Emperor Augustus scenario. However, whenever I try to launch the Grand Campaign, the loading screen appears, the bar goes to around 90%, the music stops, and the game crashes to the desktop.

    I am playing the game on mac, but the vanilla game works fabulously and I am able to use all the other mods I've tried without issue, including the radious mod and its submods.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Pantolmaton

    You should be able to launch them using the Mod Manager without any need of using the user script file.

    I'm unable to use the mod manager (as far as I've found) because I run the mac version of the game. Using the user script file has worked without problems for the other mods I've tried.

    Launching DEI has not been a problem. I can get to the DEI main menu and I can even run custom and historic battles just fine; the mod's new units load and the game runs smoothly. The problem is a persistent CTD while loading the grand campaign.

    The png is just for giving the mod an image on the steam mod manager.

    Now, you're not running any other submods or anything? Just DeI part 1 and 2 from the forum here?

    Here is a screenshot of my data folder as it is now:

    I deleted the previous data folder, verified the cache, and then did a fresh install to make sure that there were no lingering files from previous mods. I don't think there's anything there that would cause a problem, but please take a look to make sure nothing slipped through!

    My user.script.txt file is empty apart from the two lines I copied in the original post.

    Thanks again for your time and your help! This mod looks really top-notch, which makes it all the more agonizing that I can quite get it to load.
