This drawing/helmet is based on nothing but pure imagination, historically inaccurate. These guys are trying to make this mod as accurate as possible and basing their models on accurate illustrations, not on some fantasy drawings. It's like saying "I don't like the way that helmet looks please change that with mine". Please don't.
How can you be so sure current helmet being accurate?

If you have another proof how the helmet should look like then show it to me. If these guys are trying to make it accurate then I'm sure someone can show us where they saw the helmet that is currently in the game. I might be wrong but I want to see proof. You know I just want to learn the right knowledge.

Most of the Seljuk helmet models that are currently in this mod were also used in a Mount and Blade Warband mod called Crusader Way to Expiation, the developers of that mod spent a lot of time researching accurate armors and based their models mostly on the illustrations of historical illustrators (such as Angus McBride, Christa Hook etc).

The drawing in your post is not even a proof for God's sake, that's based on nothing but imagination, simply a product of fantasy. I need to post Osprey illustrations to show you what their helmets looked like but the company is quite agressive about protecting copyright in their images.

Here are accurate illustratios (not Osprey) of some helmets and fur hats used by the Seljuk Turks.

You may realize this and I am just posting this comment for no reason, but this mod is for Attila not MTW 2. If you knew that, or if you didn't, I agree that this mod does look much better than MTW 2 as well as most medieval games.

Great job on everything! except for those green and blue helmets on the junior ghulams, they look kind of unrealistic, and out of place compared to the other helmets, and their textures feel "compressed". Also the texts in the helmets seem as if they were printed or something, which totally breaks immersion. Otherwise everything looks great.

Will Sultanate of Rum have access to late period units (Janissaries, Spahis, Handgunners etc)?

By the way, here is the list of the names of medieval Turkish rulers (Turkish, Persian and Arabic/Islamic names, 11th - 14th centuries). This might be helpful.

I agree, green/blue junior ghulam helmets look somewhat deformed/unrealistic.

I don't think ETA's are available right now. It's much more important to have quality instead of going for the first possible date en rushing stuff.

Will Seljuks look like asians? Or like modern Turks?

I can't imagine them looking too much like asians as the Seljucs were part of the migrating Oghuz Turks which which have been on the eastern side of asia (current day Iran) for much of their time

The Turks had more asiatic appearance before mixing with local populations of Anatolia and Azerbaijan, but not as much asiatic as modern Kazakhs for example. Prior to the demographic changes during the post-Mongol Invasion era Central Asia was less Asiatic than it is today, after the 13/14th century the region absorbed so many Mongol tribes that these Mongol tribes (Dughlat, Naiman, Onggirad, Jalayir, Kerait, Arghun, Barlas, Khitai etc) formed modern Kazakh and Uzbek nations by merging with Turkic Kipchaks and Karluks, making the region more asiatic. Timur was a member of one of these Turkicized Mongol tribes (Barlas) for example. The Seljuk Turks before mixing with local Anatolian/Azerbaijanian populations might have looked like modern Turkmens whose language also belong to the Oghuz branch (like Turkish and Azerbaijani).

The Hunnic face templates in the vanilla game look too Asian (almost Korean). Since we don't have Transoxianian/Caspian Turkic face templates the current eastern templates are OK (and the best option we have) in my opinion.
