Do I unzip prior to pasting the contents into EBII file. Thanks

I'm guessing you're talking about the patches, in which case yes. But please start a campaign in 2.01 first before installing the patch, this prevents bugs.

Note that when first starting a new campaign in a newly patched game, the game will take some time to load. This is not the game hanging, it's merely taking time to load. This is a one-off process and any new campaigns will load a lot faster.

I hope you enjoy the mod!

Are you sure about this part? If so, the instructions in the Europa Barbarorum 2.04d is released! thread need to be updated, because they say to first install everything (including the latest patch) before launching a new campaign and generating all of the related game files.

I might be a bit confused on this issue. It's best to wait for QuintusSertorius to clarify this, he'll know better.

You need to run 2.01 first. That's the whole point of "make sure you have a working 2.01 before patching".
