Know any good indie or shareware adventure games?

Mostly interested in plot-driven horror adventure games, with as few action parts as possible (lazy even in the world of the game ).

Apparently there is now a sizeable market for such games, and there are even free (or usually free) programs to allow anyone to make his own game. Ie in the future i may try just that

Steam has a rather good selection truthfully. They seem to have a broad selection of pretty much every mainstream genre that their is in the gaming industry. I mean I'm not too into indie games, I play some niche ones but not really indie. Looking through Steam' marketplace though shows some pretty intriguing little gems for what it's worth.
