Default Why do units (not in town) automatically turn rebel after a few turns???

So I started playing SS6.4 and put my general and his full stack outside my castle to defend, after a few turns the entire army turned rebel randomly!!! Is there anyway to stop this? It's rather annoying.

that's kinda how the mod is designed.. you need to have decently loyal generals leading your armies at all times

One way to stop armies in the field (without a loyal general) from rebelling is to put them in a temporary fort at the end of each turn.
You can leave a general-less army in a fort forever and it will never rebel.

If you want to keep that fort up after your army moves on (save money from having to rebuild a new fort for your next army that comes that way) stick a unit of cheap peasants or a priest or something in there to stop it from collapsing.
Though that is only recommended if you intend to be moving armies regularly through that area, since a 60c per turn peasant unit will become more expensive then a 500c fort after 9 turns.
