Total War: Rome II (Running into issues trying to create a mod)
Hey everyone, I originally posted this in Steam's discussion @: http://steamcommunity.com/workshop/d.../?appid=214950 but I decided to post it here as well just to increase my chances of getting this noticed.
I've been trying to create a mod with PFM and the Assembly Kit but I just cant get the work I do to apply to the game. I have looked up numerous tutorials on Total War Center and youtube, followed them step by step, but none of my mods will apply to the game. I even tried to do a basic test mod that increases unit size of praetorians to 300 and it wouldnt work. It showed up under Mod Manager when I boot Rome, I then checked it and started game but the 300 unit setting was not applied.
I am having the worst time trying to get this to work and I would appreciate any help that you can provide.
(Also, I would like to know how to go about making a melee weapon unit start using ranged weapons and how to go about making Spartans switch to swords when in close combat. I've tried to give them swords in the PFM but the only cells listed are for Primary Melee Weapon and Primary Missile Weapon.)
P.S. Here is what I'm trying to do with the mod:
-Set Roman Faction Colors to Blue/White. (Do I need to go through each Roman unit individually to do this? Or how do I go about changing all of the Roman units colors at once?)
-Set Spartan Faction Colors to Red/Black. ^same
-Modify number of men per unit for Praetorian Guard, Praetorian Cavalry, Legatus, Heroes of Sparta, Royal Spartans, and more...
-Modify stats of weapons and change weapons that units listed above have equipped ^ (I want Spartans to have swords and spears, Ive also been trying to figure out how to give Roman War Dog's handlers Javelins instead of swords, is this possible?)
-Modify appearance (armor, helmet, etc...) of Roman Praetorian Guard and Heroes of Sparta to better distinguish these Elite units. (I would love for my Romans to have a blue shield with a White Emblem but no matter what I try the emblem is always gold. Is there a way to change this?
Thanks!!!!!!

I cant find the Edit button. I copy/pasted the above from Steam and for some reason its invisible unless you highlight the text. Lol. Sorry about that.
