Re: Third age total war Divide and Conquer Crashing
Looks like the TATW files are mixed up with originals from the americas campaign according to the factions listed in the error messages.
1. Do not unpack the game unless you plan to mod yourself. If you do use this method.
2. If you have the CD version then there is no need to follow the (unnecessary and outdated) procedures listed to get it working on Steam.
3. You are most likely being messed around by the virtual store as well.
My suggestion - if you unpacked the game then completely uninstall the game. (skip this step if you didn't)
Then run this tutorial from step 3 onward and remove the medieval ii total war folder from the virtual store if it exists.
Install M2TW and at least one kingdoms campaign - update all the way to 1.05 (not needed if you skipped step 1)
Now (re-)install TATW straight without doing anything fancy, test if it runs. Make a back up of the TATW folder when it runs and install D&C
Now test again if it runs and if there are no problems you can safely delete your TATW backup
If you still have problems then it will be mod related and you will have better luck posting in the D&C forum
