templar help

im playing as sicily because the white horse armour goes well with the hospitallers and the templar but the templars wont offer me a chapter house any advice

were all having problems with templars, they seem to be the only guild that appear completly randomly. i have played with france twice and have had two successful crusades still no templar offers. to see more on templar problem, i started a post "knights templar help", http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=69662

I finally got a chapter house after the first Crusade. Here is the issue I have with it. They gave me the Chapter house in the norther city on England. Not down south where I need it. WTF! We should be able to build it where we want instead of just picking the first free castle that has no guild.

I have Templar knights after taking Valencia, built up the fortress to a citidel and was offered the templar option!
First time I have had this in 4 campaigns!

The knights templar appears after you have taken jerusalem, as they rightfully should so.
The headquarters are not in jerusalem as it is a city and military headquarters cannot be there.
One of the criterias is if you want the Knights templar, capture jerusalem and hold it. Then you will have your reward

Well, I just captured Jerusalem and intend to hold onto it. Let's see if Templars come to my kingdom.

....But I can now recruit Knights Templar units in Valencia, and I haven't had a single crusade as yet, let alone taking Jerusalem! (I have taken Jerusalemtwice in my last campaigns, and not one sniff of anything Templar related)!
The more I get into this game, the more random it appears, with most things!

Edited to add; Still love it to bits and am almost as hooked as I was with Rome...

As i have said before, Templars seem to be random. Well "seem" to be at least.

They are Random
I had an offer from them in turn 4 in my Poland campaign
So forget this Jerusalem and crusade bs

well, why shouldnt they have a headquarters in a city that they historically had a headquarters in? the city or fortress shouldnt matter. having the knights should be for france at least natural. These countries should have them as soon as the faction builds a knight stable i believe.

They seem to be a bit random and based upon buildings you have in cities.

I got a Templar unit in Inverness - of all places. Never went to the Holy Land just got them in Scotland.

One additional point I doubt you will be allowed by the Game to have Templars and Hospitalers at the same time. They did not traditionally get along (in their off duty periods of not bashing the unfaithulful in the Holy Land) and so the game will probably not allow you to have both at same time.

This is where my Templar Headquarters is as well, I went on one crusade to... London of all places.
