How to eliminate faction by killing king & heir

Hey, in SS mode is it possible to eliminate the faction in one go by killing the faction leader & heir in the same turn?

I vaguely remember this used to be possible in vanilla, but today I did an experiment, used HRE to kill French King & Heir in 1 turn (2 separate battles) and the faction lived on..

I tried killing king first then heir, and then the other way around, but neither way worked. The game simply appointed new king & heir for france and France lived on.

I also tried killing the faction leader & heir in a single battle, but to no avail. The game simply appointed new faction leader & heir.


Any way to eliminate a faction in a single go in SS mode??

i guess you have to kill all family members first before you go for the king and heir.
in my current campaign, the english faction was destroyed because the scots somehow managed kill all of their family members and heir in their battles in and around york and nottingham. Then the king sitting in Caernarvon died of old age in the next turn, with no heir to the throne, the provinces all rebeled.

Best example would be late campaign golden horde

They will always attack the kwazmarians ( in my campaign)

And as soon as they pass a couple of settlements its by bye kwazmarians

Even though the kwazmarians have 5/6 more

England, for example, starts with 4 family members I think. King, heir, the guy in Nottingham and the guy in York.
The guy in Dublin is a general but not family if memory recalls. So, youd have to kill all 4 of those males... before any more children come of age or the princess marries or the king or heir adopts someone new.

Yes it is. Unintentionally did this to Scotland in my HRE campaign.

As others have said though, there cannot be any other generals or family members of that faction alive/of age when you do it.
