Game freezes when starting campaign

Hey all, just needed some help with my EB II installation. Everything seems to work fine until I select a faction and try to start a campaign. It just freezes as it loads on the campaign select screen. I've left it on for quite some time to see if it just takes a while but to no avail. I also turned on the script. Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you.

It's the map.rwm regenerating... It will take about 5 minutes max but after that you won't need to wait anymore.

Again, the game does not "freeze" on starting a new campaign, it is generating the map.rwm. Which will be a time-consuming process the first time it is done, but won't have to be done after that. If you interrupt this process, you will corrupt your map, and thus break any campaign you try to play with it. Which means you need to delete the corrupted map.rwm generated, and start a new campaign again, waiting until it is finished.
