Is this fully compatible with the POR beta? I last used the March 29th version + hardcore in a mp campaign and crashes were quite frequent. Without POR mp campaigns are fine, so perhaps once that is out of beta it would be better to try using the two in conjunction?
I am in a bit of trouble: Although I am playing the hardcore mod as Rome on "normal/normal" - difficulty, I tend to loose decisively within the first 10 years of a campaign. I hereby ask for your advice!
Winning battle after battle sends me into a somehow phyrric situation.
How do you guys "survive and prosper"?
Maybe my fault is, that I try to take northern-italian provinces "too early" for my starting economy. Do you subjugate or conquer?
How do you keep your client states "loyal"?
Do you rely on fleets in Brundisium in order to keep these Epirotes in check?
What "house rules" do you recommend for the hardcore mod?
Thank you very much in advance!
There are quite a few general guides in the guide forum and elsewhere that may help. But, it should be noted the hardcore mod is exactly that - it isn't specifically designed to be balanced.
Thank you Dresden. I appreciate the hardcore mod very much and meant no offence.
DEI without hardcore sub-mod is well understood and fun. I was just "a bit too challenged" by the hardcore version and had/ will have to adapt to it in the future
I already learned that subjugation of enemies bolsters the roman treasury and helps to keep up enough forces without beiing obliged to smash a rebellion every second turn. I even have a small navy now in order to keep those Epirotes in check.
Surprisingly diplomacy is actually a valuable option (in contrast to vanilla).
Next step: Find a way to make enough money to develop the Italian regions...
Which tables should be deleted if you want to exclude:
- Increased AI desire to declare war, made various treaties more difficult.
I dont think you should delete any tables. You need to change the entry values.
I think it would be the cai_personality_deal table

Ah yes ofc. Didnt think of that Any tables deleted will just use the one from the main mod. My bad
But you could just edit them to your own liking if you want something in between
Even small changes might give a huge impact.

ok ill try some changes to declare_war_on_factions_i_dislike. ill calculate the inbetween possibilty and then use that option. let you know what will happen. i also use all of your mods from the collection
See if it changes anything. The break treaties entry might also be an option.
Some of those will be added to 1.2 but some of them currently needs to be tweaked but thats another story
Hope you figure it out

Hi everybody. I know maybe this is a noob question, but, how do i edit these tables? I want to make my own version of Hard Core submod, becouse, it just too much XD (Good job there Dresden sir)
Download the Pack File Manager. This program can be used to open up the pack files. There you will see different tables. Change the values
I can suggest that you watch Magnars tutorials on youtube
