Disk Detection Problem
Anyone have a problem with the disk detection. I have to keep opening my DVD drive to get my computer to recognise it has the correct disk in the drive yet MSFSX works fine every time. Once Ive reopened the drive it detects the disk and it works fine after that.
But Ive also been getting an error come up about the installer protection and was wondering if it was that. It comes up every time the game fails to recognise the disk.

Re: Disk Detection Problem
Had this problem twice. It seems quite random to me. RTW showed the same behaviour sometimes.
Well...that was not really helpfull I guess, just want to say that you're not the only one with that problem.
Back then (in the days of rock'n....ehrm....rtw) I used to play it with an image (as there was no real protection this was / is not against the copyright in my country ^^) and it seemed to solve the problem completely.
Guess this is not possible with Medieval II?!? I'm not sure but I think it has a state of the art copy protection...

Re: Disk Detection Problem
@Nats and Sarge2008,
What programs do you have installed besides the game? Vista or XP? Are you trying to use copies instead of the original disc?

Re: Disk Detection Problem
Do you have it on a removable drive?
If you can play the expansoins, check youe Medieval2 disc for dirt, scraches, etc. That's the one that would keep you from play vanilla.
