    As some of you may or may not have noticed over the months, certain 3-D models disappear (pop in and out) when nearing the camera during real-time battles. This includes regular moving units and certain static models (such as corpses/weapons on the ground). To be sure, this is a very minor bug; however — perhaps it's my OCD — it does bother me slightly. And it doesn't hurt to identify even small bugs to be fixed at some later date. Thankfully, I have discovered a solution and can provide a fix.

    The only model I've identified with this bug so far is the Romani leves (skirmisher) unit. I've gone ahead and researched the problem (related to level of detail, LOD) and will submit the fix for the Autumn Release. In the meantime, if you discover any other models/units like this, please let me know in this thread and I'll see if I can fix them too. Here is a short video to illustrate the problem in case you're unsure what I'm talking about.

    Could you please tell me what causes this, and how to fix it? I think I have this on a model I'm working on. I also suspect it's linked to another problem with lod's and normal maps I've been struggling with. Thank you.

    Yes, it seems the issue was the result of a corrupted comment in MilkShape. I replaced the comment, which may have been blank, with the following code which fixed the issue:

    While I'm here, I can report that I've found one other unit that does this — also a skirmisher unit.
