It must be Spain at this point. Haven't finished any campaign yet, I have played Spain, Turks, England and HRE. This is just like the other games in the series, I'll be lucky to finish even one campaign this year.

Hey! I am just like that too. I am one of those that wants to try every faction at the same time lol. Currently i am playing the Turks, building up an empire that will stand as a bastion of muslim faith. I also have saved games with Spain (x2), Sicily, Denmark, Byzantines and England.

Now i am thinking of switching faction again

But on-topic, i have probably played most with Spain. But i haven't finished any campaign yet though.

Spain for me, haven't tried other factions yet in the grand campaign, only in custom battles.

Anyway i am sure i will play with all the factions (like i did in Rome) at one point or another.

same here, venice. I am on 45th turn and have 13 regions.

Its alla bout the Moors. I started out as the HRE, but just wasn't feeling it. I wanted a change of pace, and the Moors were perfect. While not a true heavy infantry army, they have the ability to hold their own in that department with dismouned Christian guard and Urban Militia (which look awesome). Their calvary is very nice as well. Like their infantry, its a blend of mostly East and some west. As far as firepower goes, you can build quite a nice arsenal of gun weaponry with them. Camel Gunners!

Playing 1 year per turn on H/H. I restarted my campain after I found 2 years per turn was just to fast for me to enjoy all the technology.

So far I've destroyed Spain, taken Palermo, and am about to finish off Portugal. Jihads have been a huge help for me taking out rival factions in Iberia when undermanned. The mongols are about to invade, and I had to decide if I should take the fight to the Sicilians and their neighbors, or tighten my stranglehold in Egypt.

After I am done with them, I suspect I will play as Russia. I hope they have good heavy infantry.

Sicily, Turkey, and Hungary.

The former I replayed three times, once after I cheated after a really ****** event and felt bad about it, a second time after I messed up and a third when I was doing right.

Their problem is that they just have a real hard time getting a move on, despite having a great position. Money was a real issue for me.

Turkey I stopped after byzantium gave me trouble but I plan to take it up again soon. I really love their unit list - I didn't even realize ottoman infantry swung their shields to their hands and fought as heavy infantry with more defense than armored sergeant spearmen or dismounted sipathis! The only thing I go for want with them in is the lack of a really great line infantry.


The Hungarians are my current and only campaign right now. I love them. The only thing I go for want in is the lack of pike infantry. Otherwise, they have a fantastic roster - their horse archers are great, and just won me a battle of 289 vs 801 Venetians (And they did charge after my guys got too close, and did not stop until I routed them). Although they lack any great late era units, they will give me the light hussars and royal banderium heavy cavalry, and that's all I really need.

Next is French or Portugal

Finshed HRE on M/M, well I like winning.

Started with the Turks yesterday and loving the tension waiting for the Mongol Invasion. Will I get enough good castles? Will Ghengis like my Diplomats?..Will they wipe out those trecherous [sp] Egyptians?

I love the 2 different feels these factions have....

check out the FAQ. it explains how to change the timescale. very easy, even i could do it.

I played as the English first and completed the campaign, so I've played as the English the most just because they were my first faction. I'm about about half way through my Venice campaign at the moment
