Regarding the Roman garrisons
Hello
First off congratulations on the release of 2.0! While I was enjoying the new changes, I am wondering as to why the garrison numbers for the Roman's are so high. Not only do they get units that far outclass a faction such as the Suebians, even the smallest Roman town meets me with 11 heavy infantry units, cavalry, and archers that are all better then the ones I can recruit
. While the units themselves look great, would it not make more sense for the garrison numbers to be reduced to indicate the collapse of the Roman empire?

Re: Regarding the Roman garrisons
Roman Garrisons are mostly limitanei grade units, any tier 2 german army would present a very dangerous threat.

Re: Regarding the Roman garrisons
Yeah there shouldnt be any heavy infantry present as the limitanei are medium tier units. It does depend on the tier of the town as well. The higher the tier, the bigger the garrison. I don't have the numbers in my head right now but I think what you're up against in your example is a tier 2 minor settlement, so it's not the smallest garrison you'll see. And it's not like the Romans are the only ones with capable garrisons in this update; the Germans have also gotten a serious buff in their garrison compositions. It helps to slow down both AI and player expansion so it's not too easy to just walk up and take any given settlement.

Re: Regarding the Roman garrisons
Its not the quality of the troops that I mind, it makes sense. My main issue was that as the Suebians, even my tier two axe infantry couldt hack through their spearmen.

Re: Regarding the Roman garrisons
Which also makes sense to be honest. Spearmen are defensive units, and the Romans have a higher average quality of their troops. You're not supposed to just be able to chop your way through them head on without difficulty.
