    Also, the strategic AI made poor decisions when Athens and Sparta were still around; sending medium size stacks on suicide runs against my full stack in Appolonia--and later in Thessalonike--while bypassing an undefended Larissa (belonging to Aetolians--who they were both also at war with).
    I found the Eprius campaign to be pretty easy, although some playthroughs got rough when Rhodes joined the war against me with Sparta and Athens. Macedon is a much much harder campaign if you're looking for a challenge as a hellenic faction owing to starting diplomacy. Currently playing as Baktria and really enjoying it. You start out in a precarious position owing to lack of recruitment ability and having no one friendly around you. Lack of hellenic culture in your starting provinces and the surrounding provinces makes expansion really hard. I'm currently at war with all neighbors except Parthia and have conquered one city in 44 turns.

    I played the CiG campaign as britani, but the CTD occured before 139 turns begin.

    I didn't know that was gonna happen, but I think that AE or DEI is the cause of the CTD.

    How should I do to work campaign normally?

    So quick question.

    Is the Augustus map only used in the 41BC campaign or in the 264BC campaign too? I don't see any changes in the map when I play the 271BC campaign.

    Also, why have you changed the faction names to English, but the family names of the Romans to Latin. Why change the names of the factions?

    EDIT: Alright I figured out the problem with the map not changing. I was using a mod that increased unit sizes, for some reason it caused the map for AE to not be put in, though the rest of the mod was working fine.

    Can you release an optional download that contains the 1HP battle mechanics?

    I'm sick to my stomach of the Benny Hill shenanigans where units will face-tank 2000 arrows. It transforms this game into melee blob-fest 9000. If skirmishers weren't effective the Romans wouldn't have given literally every soldier they fielded two javelins.

    I cannot play RTW2 while watching units take so many arrows to the face and not die... It takes me right out of the game forcefully.

    We have an updated version of the battle system that I can release. I received your PM on it and was going to respond. It is something we could release. The main issue for us is just keeping it updated. I can send it to you sometime tomorrow, though, after discussing it with Philip/Sheridan.

    Yes please. I can literally not play RTW2 without it. Thanks!

    Greatly anticipating your Attila mod by the way, can't wait. I figure you're still some months off on that though?

    This doesn't seem to work with the latest People of Rome update for DEI - any reason why? The game doesn't recognise Ancient Empries.

    Have you checked out their mod on the Attila forum? Without being able to say anything for sure, I would think they are quite busy getting their own overhaul finished. An overhaul that got its own manpower system.

    Some of the posts above states that the writers have tried the mod, some others asked when it will be released. I would truly truly love this mod as the setting is so much better than Attila but the quality of the Attila engine, maps and mechanics are somewhat better than Rome 2... so until it is released I will continue play Rome 2 with DEI... but again... this mod *drol*

    Is it possible to download or try it?

    That was our most recent battle pack update for those who wanted it. Please let me know how it goes.

    This is separate from our Attila mod. The Attila mod is not released yet, unfortunately.

    I will look into it. It shouldn't be too hard to make it compatible.

    Hey. Will try this out as the 1hp battle system is one of the main reasons I want to play AE.

    Do I need to rename it to make sure it loads first? (steam) Or just plug and play?

    On looking with packfilemanager I see the battle pack makes lots of changes to upkeep and many other things?

    Update - I ran the POR update first before Ancient Empires, and it seems to have worked.

    However, some cities have the same population which is weird, potentially because this introduces new settlements and the POR mod doesn't recognise these?

    Update:

    I've tried to make it compatible by merging the packs together and taking out the startpos that POR update provides (I'm not sure whether the startpos is necessary to have the population mod).

    This has resulted in the game picking up population, however, only certain provinces recognise it - I was suprised to see that lower Italy was recognised, considering there is an extra region...

    I can also confirm that manpower works with units.

    Unfortunately, northern Italy and Sicily does not show the correct tooltips for individual province growth... only regional...?

    Edit: what I mean by this is that the first tooltip for region growth works, but the individual only shows the vanilla 'growth' - this however does work for southern Italy.

    Hello I', not sure what to do Select Parts 1-6 of DEI then AE then Battle pack right? Battle Pack is out of date and crashes Rome 2, ABH

    If you are using AE then you don't need the battle pack since that is already in AE. It's DeI 1.1 with AE or DeI 1.1 with battle-pack NOT both!.

    And if you are using the beta version 1.5 of DeI then it won't work since it is not yet updated.

    Nay. The AE battle system was disabled in last update, says so on steam. Hence we are after this in the works update here.
