Default Does anyone have a list of the historians that helped with EB 2 and the universities they went to?

I thought it might be an interesting thing to know, especially since I'm looking at going to university to, among other things, study the barbarians and other lesser-known cultures of the ancient world.

This could also include EB 1, if anyone happens to know the historians and history-research related people involved in that as well. I'll also post this thread on the EB 1 forum for maximum exposure, I hope that's not against the rules or anything.

    Thanks.

    According to this post: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...ght=university

Brennus works at the University of Leicester. Dont know about the others.
Then, as throngs of his enemies bore down upon him and one of his followers said, "They are making at thee, O King," "Who else, pray," said Antigonus, "should be their mark? But Demetrius will come to my aid." This was his hope to the last, and to the last he kept watching eagerly for his son; then a whole cloud of javelins were let fly at him and he fell.

Yeah but what if one doesn't plan on starting a family? What if he wants to just you know, be on his own? I mean i'm currently a university student studying Computer Science, and by god it's dull. I wanted to be an Archaeology, History, or English Literature major, but the country i live in doesn't really present much opportunity for these majors, nor can i afford the one that does. If i ever get the chance to change my major i certainly would.

You have a pretty pathetic and simplistic view on the pursuit of knowledge if all you judge it on is its practicality in money making. Has it never crossed your mind that knowledge and learning isn't always just about making the most money in life? Perhaps to some but others study based on their curiosity and passion. Knowledge seeking isn't a means to an end but the goal itself. In fact many studies that serve practical uses today have been developed as far as they have because some people had other interests besides money. Many early scientists and even later like Isaac Newton lived for their studies and not on pleasure seeking and money.

Running the EB II credits will produce a list of those that contributed, including the historians, but will mostly show usernames so to speak and not give any information regarding possible university affiliation.
I tend to edit my posts once or several times after writing and uploading them. Please keep this in mind when reading a recent post of mine. Also, should someone, for some unimaginable reason, wish to rep me, please add your username in the process, so I can at least know whom to be grateful towards.

    My thanks in advance.
