I'll make it simple then. Can someone explain to me (in EB2 because in vanilla MTW2, general models were pretty clearly segregated and named among the folders) how to make a general's model (how he looks like in real time battle, not unit cards) look like his bodyguard's? I mean, in unit model folder, I see none specifically named and segregated for, let's say Parthia? How then do placeholders work, why are the Parthian generals looking like Sarmatians? Is there a text script I have to edit that redirects to what unit model to be used? I checked export unit text and they have that redirection for the unit as a whole or the officers (standard bearers, not captains or generals). How then do I change the unit model for each general for each faction if not all the factions have their corresponding folders in the off folder underneath the unit_models section. In essence, again I just want to make factions who have placeholder generals look like their nationally and ethnically correct bodyguard units. No new general skins, just a reuse of something already there.
So, any great modders out there? I hope I made my point clear. So, to reiterate: how to make generals (NOT the bodyguard, the dude in charge who, if he dies creates massive morale blow and a text event announcement stating his death on the left side of your screen) look like his bodyguards? This is not just for the parthians, but for the men of saka, the armenians, and the men of pontus. All the guys who have bland placeholder generals.
