    Default Next setting

In the spirit of nailing down something.

I suggest people consider what their goals for this period would be if you have them. Maybe even post them so we can gear our thoughts on accommodating them

Okay, fine. Hoare rulership, before we can't decide on anything.
    Maybe it can become promising.

I see where you are going with the North, and while it has it's perks, I think that our player base would be better off if our enemies (at least in the short term) are NPC. We can squabble over land like the Blackwoods and Brackens between us later. If you give us a united enemy to fight in the initial stages, attempting to gain land and such to begin, then later we can begin the self serving (and more often than not RP killing) inter player conflict. While it will still encourage competition, and the build up of animosity between characters, we can focus on other endeavors as well.

This is why I also support starting upon the initial Hoare conquest of the river lands

Also, Roll Call boys and girls!!!!

No need to rush anything or get ahead of ourselves, plenty needs to get done, but I'd like to get the feeling of who we got and what we are working with. I'll get to crafting some amended structure after the weekend.

    No problem.
We can always do this other setting, if the Hoare one fails, but nobody is in the mood for a complex Seven Kingdoms setting again.

I am here and I plan to help with resetting the rules to fit a mostly Ironborn/Riverlander rp.

Encouraging to see there is still some compromise.

I'm here to help anyway I can.

This would be a good place to speak about when in this "era" to begin.

First up, we have the obvious: the beginning of taking over the Riverlands. Now, this one will be perhaps the most RP intensive. With the degree of difficulty, though the MOST freedom perhaps, this one in my opinion should be avoided.

The next, pre battle of Fairmarket. This will let us RP the fall of the last actually structured defense of the Riverlands by the Storm King. We can RP our battle, do some rolls to add some fun into our RP and some authenticity (maybe someone will llose an eye or arm lol). I'm thinking that not everyone needs to place stakes on their main characters since it will be more for RP opportunity and character building. But risk begets rewards if you have the stones and good RP to back it.

The Last, post battle of Fairmarket. With this we just use the battle for small pre RP and begin planning taking the remainder of the Riverlands.

all of these are with Harwyn Hoare as King. PLEASE post your preference FIRST, the follow it with reasoning so when tallying it's easy to just look at and run over.
any other suggestions are of course welcome!

Post-battle of Fairmarket: No need to roll a battle or its afternath, that would add more complexity to the start considering our decimated playerbase and moderation. Startin post-battle is easier but still provides an adequate frame for the game to start and leading to interesting ro.

I am honestly gonna say this, but I feel we should keep away from our usual Targaryen-rule stuff and do these single kingdoms setting before the Conquest. It could definitely be a lot of fun and a change of pace.

Edit: Also those who wanna moderate, I want you to say if you are interested or not so that way I can make sure a list is provided for the forum. Even if you are just a temp mod like how Trot and Ponti were, that is still considered a mod in my book. We will be examining the rules soon and determining any necessary changes.

Do support Post-Fairmarket battle. Scripted Battles always feel like "Yay, screw you, I can slaughter anything I want" for winner factions, while loser faction is always like "Well, we pretend that we did at least our best. Probably our former king was just a retard to lose this battle". Quite dull, if you ask me, if we do continiue the past.

Will also support this. All we do with the Targaryen rulerships now, is either repeating settings, we once did or we have to create custom ones out of older RPs, which also never worked out well.

edit: Also might offer myself as a temporary mod.

@LD: After reading the recent lore book, no one will be on the side of the Stormlanders save NPCs. I told this to Zeus; the Riverlords sided with Harwyn after winning a battle against Blackwood. That's why the Ironborn were able to go toe-to-toe with the Stormlanders at Fairmarket because of the support from the whole of the Riverland nobility. So everyone is gonna be a victor...till Harwyn shackles them to his crown

Oh right, that's true - Riverlands was Stormland annexed at this time.
Still, wouldn't say that the Iron Islands and Riverlanders would be close friends forever.

During the war, Riverlanders and Ironborn were buddy buddy; especially when the Riverlanders thought the Ironborn would free them instead of annexing them.=
