Default Make a Unit Require a Technology to Unlock?

I'm working on a project to make the menaulatoi recruitable in level 2-4 roman infantry barracks, but I want to for it to require a technology to unlock, since historically the menaulatoi were more of an early medieval thing than a late roman thing. All I have found in the PFM has been the technology_unit_upgrades table, which is good most of the time but I don't want to make a unit upgrade to menaulatoi, I just want it to be unlocked on its own after researching a certain tech. Is there a way to do this?

unit_required_technology_junctions_table? it was used in rome 2, but not used in Attila, but I expect it can still be used.

once you know which tech you want to use to unlock it, go to technology_unit_upgrades then enter menaulatoi both as a unit and as target_unit...kinda it upgrades itself. You will see the little yellow upward arrow upgrade on your unit card though. Make sure you change upgrade cost to zero, otherwise you might accidentally spend money on upgrading your unit to itself.

Or you could go to main_units and enter a building under additional_building_requirement and then link that particular building to a tech in whichever building/tech table there is...it might take more steps, but won't have the upgrade arrow showing up on your unit card.
