No, those are the Roman names of the settlements. As close as we're able, they're in the native names of the people who lived there.

Nesactium is wrong, by the way (Roman name again), it's Nesakton.

But, how did you come to those names?
Their first mentions in writing were either Greek or Roman?

Is the Roman name for Segestica not Siscia?
I thought Segestica is the Celtic name?

I just looked up Nis, and you are right, Naissos is probably right, or a least closer to its native name.

I'm pretty okay with Gimp, I actually tried to do the Spartan and Athenian Hoplitai. I have everything from the text to their icons ready, just not sure how to get them in the actual game lol..if someone could help then I'd be able help with adding more units in

So do we... But you know the saying, winter is coming... And this is the autumn release, so hopefully you guys won't have to wait for long. We are really in the closing stages now when it comes to adding things to the mod, like mentioned before waiting for certain units to be finished, and after we start testing and get ready for a release

I'm almost as equally excited for the new units as I am about the refurbished town and city settlements for various cultures, Eastern, Roman, and Greek! The nomadic, Celtic, and Germanic settlements looked fine in the original release, though. Maybe one of these days someone will create an EB II submod and include Han Chinese style settlements imported from that Romance of the Three Kingdoms mod. That would necessitate extending the map, though, and fundamentally changing the campaign aspect of the game.

I hope this will never happen with current region limit. IMO, the map is already streached to maximum plausible extend (maybe even bit over it) streaching it eaven more will make the mod lose any sense of historical and geographical reality and player will just feell like a mad dictator conquering the nations and countries without even noticing they really exist because they are only mere single tiles on the campaign map.

Fair enough, but notice how I said submod, not the main EB II mod. Obviously it's your choice to install a submod or not, which has no affect on others playing the main mod.

You too? Geez, no one reads anything anymore. Submod, guys. SUBMOD. That's an important word you guys seem to be ignoring. It means you wouldn't have to play said submodification of the main mod of EB II. Do you even know what a submod is? I feel like I'm talking to n00bs.

You've got it backwards, Ace, the F-35 program is moving at the speed of EB. They even borrowed our slogan, "It'll be finished when it's finished."

But of course, the F-35 has a multi-trillion dollar budget, and our team actually sacrifices alternative earning potential to volunteer work on a project for free public consumption.

I've been dying to try this mod out to get my Roman/Hellenistic fix since the Rome 2 debacle. I took a year+ long break from all things TW and came back to find TW Arena and TW Warhammer? God no

Anywho, I knew EB2 was always still being worked on. Curious if now is the time to jump in? Seems a future release is around the corner so I potentially could wait another month or so to dive in.

I know there is still plenty to be worked on, but I am curious if someone can just give me a brief overview of how the mod is running currently?

I suggest you to wait some more time for the 2.1 release, it's not far from being finished and it's definitely worth waiting

Cheers Raffy! Glad to see you still around mate! Didn't know you started working with the EB2 team, I suppose I can hold out just a little longer then. Best of luck to you guys and you have my full support as I will be keeping an eye on all things EB2 with great anticipation.
