Default Console commands in EB2, and how to use them?

I have a general (family member) playing as Pergamon that is seriously pissing me off. He's Faction heir, and has 4 Command, 6 Confidence, 7 Influence.

And ZERO loyalty! (Yes, 0). And I keep having to save and reload certain turns when he decides to defect. Now, I haven't decided yet if I'm actually going to cheat him into being more loyal, but I want to know that that option exists if and when I decide to go for it.

With that in mind, I explored forums aplenty trying to figure out how to inject some loyalty into this guy. To make a long story short, I found a M2:Kingdoms page with all the console commands available, but when I try to use them in my game, the vast majority aren't recognized.

So, my post here therefore has 2 main goals:

    1) What specific Medieval 2 console commands are actually available to be used in a game of EB2? And why are some of the ones listed for M2 not available in an EB2 game?

    2) If someone could help me out and explain in a very detailed manner how I can pump up this guy's loyalty a few points, I would be very appreciative!

    Thanks,

    Daelric

    Code:
    give_trait "[the character's name]" LoyaltyLevel 5
    .

What version are you playing? There was a major trait-update in 2.03k which should address some of the broken bits in the traits.

I'm currently playing 2.03j. Would I have to start a whole new game if I updated to 2.03k at this time? Also, if the character I'm having difficulty with has the name of "Kleronomos Basileios Eumenes", do I just type that, or just the first name, or put underscores between the names?

    Thanks!

You have to start a new game to use the updates; at best they won't be applied until you do, at worst it will cause a CTD if you try to load a previous saved game.

Kleronomos Basileus is a title, not his name. He's just Eumenes.

    hi,
i currently am playing a seleukids game and i screwed up, i missed building a school and now antiochos came of age.
since i don't want to start over i need to know how to put a school into antiocheia using the console.
i've tried "create_building antiocheia academy" and some alterations of that but no success so far.
am i missing something or are some commands deactivated?

I've never been able to get "create_building" to work. What you can do instead is begin constructing the academy in Antoicheia and then type "process_cq Antiocheia," which will automatically finish the next item in Antiocheia's construction queue.

If you really want to cheat it, you can use "add_money [number of money up to 50k]" to pay for the cost of the academy, too. Be careful, though - once you start using the "add_money" and "process_cq" cheats, you will be very tempted to cheat extensively in your campaigns!
