I've received a PM from Zarathos with some useful advice, and I have a few CA contact points that I'll try over the next couple of days. I just got back from a holiday and have been totally flat out, but I'm happy to carry the ball on this petition (for the time being at least, until somebody tells me to stop ).
Be my guest I've given up with change now 3 e-mails I sent for help and the only one I got back was advertising another campaign where abouts are these contacts if you don't mind me asking?

I love the idea of this although I already have made a mod with all the factions I ever needed in the game so this petition doesn't help me much but hey, more factions are always welcome and after all, if the hardcoded stuff is gone then maybe modding could be easier and allow more people to make their own changes to the game

It's sad that even have to have a petition about this, I signed but I know CA/SEGA won't give a about it no matter how many people sign.

    I will sign soon!

Anyway, it'd be amazing if it happened. Empire and Napoleon need it too. Empire in particular needs it BAD, since some factions get an entire blob of a region that is usually easily destroyed(France and Spain). New theaters would be good too

I doubt they'd ever actually do it though, I kind of think that by now, CA only cares about money, and modding extends the life of older games greatly. Even if they werent greedy, chances are they'd not do it because of the age of the game

They probably see us as stuck-in-the-past fanboys. 'It's New, so it Sucks' type of people, given our reaction to their newer 'gems'.

I would really hope that's not the case, though. I still think Medieval 2 has the best modding community out of all the Total War games.

I think CA may or not accept this petition as they hadn't listened to them in the past. This quote if from 2010 from the Org

No the petition did not work. As we have clearly stated before we treat online petitions as worthless as they are not email verified and are totally open to abuse.

What we do take seriously though is polite feedback from our community. Despite what a tiny minority will try have you believe (generally to feed their inner troll) we are keen to support the community as much as possible.
This was posted back in 2010 and perhaps in that amount of time CA may have change its attitude to petitions.

Unfortunately, it has gained no real traction.

Unless someone with a bit more clout can convince someone from CA to openly support the cause and get the ball rolling from within the company, this will remain a pipe dream.

Whoever runs their Facebook page does, at least, as they blocked the Facebook page I created for the petition from posting.

Multiply that number by a 100 and attach a 10 euro bill on each signature, that would get their attention.
Other than that we have already payed for it and they would rather allocate their efforts and energies making things that can claim our money anew.
