Tedster is right, it is important to not forget the limits that can get in the way of the majors one.

There are limits to the number of models the game can handle if i am not mistaken, for example. So it woud turn out pretty limited to have more units and buildings, if you can't make them work in the game because of this kind of limits.

Unfortunatly, i am not much of a modeler and these limits are unknown territories for me. The input of someone who have hitted those would be good.
Also, i am not sure that speaking numbers right away like: "x limit number to y number" is a good thing, in my opinion, it would be better to stay with "removal" for now, until CA answer something, then if necessary, starting to be more accurate with numbers.

Don't forget that the numbers quoted in Zarathos thread have been proposed by people who never saw the source code, and there is no telling what the programmers from CA could achieve in what would be probably a short time if they wanted to. That's why i think that it is better to not speak numbers at first. If the communication goes beyond: "no we won't do it", well, maybe a line will have to be drawn for some limits but until then...

Multi-core support, not sure this is the same territory as hardcoded limits, might require a lot more work.

I only added those numbers as I think to not put a number on it risks being too vague. Simply saying "remove the regions limit" would look as though we want unlimited regions, when that's certainly not the case. Regardless, I do agree, and as such I've edited my post so as to not cause confusion.

Indeed, it might be best to discuss numbers once we have some kind of dialogue open with CA.

I drew the same conclusion regarding multi-core support, but I don't think we should discard the chance it might be possible.

I really like the list so far, there's something I'd like to add though. If possible CA should give us some more freedom with siege engines, it was this point on leos list too:

-Allowing certain settlements to not require siege engine to be attacked even if its level is one of that needs it (rivendell for example is a large city but has no gates).
Currently many of the Steppe settlements in EBII suffer from this and have to use invisible walls/gates to make the AI work properly. It also would give us settlement modders some freedom and we could for example use a palisade for a settlement that is set to huge_city and yet the siege equipment could be made just a ram.

edit: btw something similar to 'multi-core' support, if they really wanna release a patch which they actually sell, they could also improve the graphics rendering. No more flickering ground textures in mountainous regions, no more flickering vegetation when it gets too dense (too many polys)... ah a dream

Okay so it seems as though someone has either taken over my account or they are posing as me, because I certainly did not make a post telling people to sign again using different e-mails, not happy at all >

I see. It wasn't on your account. The name is also Sam Thomas but the user IDs are different:

    You: https://www.change.org/u/349670448
    Imposter: https://www.change.org/u/354416444

I have reported the post (mouse over it and a little orange flag will appear that you can click to report). You should do the same, but in addition to that you should message Change.org and ask them to remove the comment. Let me know if you need any help in the matter.

I know we have received some scepticism and criticism, but I did not expect anybody to try and sabotage our petition.

The "loading screen quote" signatures are a bit funny, but certainly aren't helpful either.

Anyway, I'll be attempting to get more signatures via the Total War Facebook page, but annoyingly they haven't posted anything in a few days, and they also post when I am (or should be) asleep, which further complicates matters.

It could be somebody from SEGA/CA who doesn't want to bother to answer and is trying to debunk the petition.
    Who is paranoid ?

Or just somebody who doesn't get that this kind of thing is not helping.

Good job on all your effort for getting the petition known Frunk.

Paranoid has nothing to do with it, I just don't like the fact that somebody is posing as me and suddenly I can't access my account >:-(, at the end if the day you could be right it could be somebody trying to help because admittedly I didn't post that much in the way of signature updates, but still :/

Ive sent Change an e-mail and am just waiting for a reply

Also it's amazing how close we are to 1,000 now only double digits soon we can send ze letters then everything will fall into place (hopefully)

Almost to 1000 guys. I didn't think we'd make it.

Anyway, can't you make like a post or something saying NOT to double sign?

There's a whole bunch of famous philosophers who signed and that really annoyed me.

We're almost there guys just 72 more signature

The post that encourage people to sign on different email is currently the most popular
Should we report it en masse? It makes me worried that it could cause the entire campaign to fail

To the contrary I found the quotes funny, but it's certainly out of place
Does it pose any danger or is it just an eyesore?

Indeed they were funny, but it's obviously not the real Sun Tzu, so it's therefore obviously fake, and I doubt fake support would be looked upon positively. I've reported all the ones I've seen and I think everyone should do the same.

The interesting thing about that top post is that 6 people have liked it. That means six fake accounts, or six people trying to derail the campaign.

Didn't CA say some time ago that they lost the source code for the old engine? (Rome 1 & Medieval 2). So they can't make any changes to it.

I think so, this sounds exactly like the kind of excuse CA would come up with.

I agree with Frunk. If they can completely change how Kingdoms works and integrate it into the Medeival2.exe, then they must have SOME capacity to edit the game.

    Regardless, 7 signatures until 1000.
