[OOC: This happens after the Slaver's Bay RP but since the mods are being outrun by snails on that discussion I'm moving on anyway.]

Skagos loomed in the distance, a rocky island inhabited by wretches who hadn't improved as a society since the Andals first landed in Westeros, never mind the Targaryens. A rocky island that was a haven for pirates, slavers, marauders and criminals, where cannibalism was permitted and First Night was still practiced. Barbaric. A rocky island that was supposedly ruled by Winterfell, but whose contributions to, and engagement with, the North were non-existent. This would change.

For too long had these isles sat just above Karhold, isolated and ignored. With the rise of shipping traffic in the area came a rise in piracy, with Skagos at its filthy heart. The petty Skagosi chieftains that were generously called Lords undoubtedly profited from it.

It was high time the island was ruled by men truly loyal to the North.

Before dawn, as the slightest sliver of red began to line the horizon, thirty Dromonds sailed silently towards the only settlement that could be called a town on the island, ruled by Clan Magnar. Splitting into three groups of ten and disembarking their contents at the edges of the town, three thousand Karhold men spilled ashore and rushed into the unsuspecting town, making for the large hall that dominated the town and served as the Magnar Chieftain's seat of power.

The assault party, commanded by Snow himself and armed with grappling hooks and makeshift ladders, were aiming to be over the walls and through the gates before the alarm could be raised, ensuring the main body of men could take the Hall uncontested. The streets were dark, the men were under strict orders to move silently, without torches. Under no circumstances would the town be looted, merely secured.

Roll to see if the Hall can be secured bloodlessly before the garrison is alerted, please. Hopefully the sheer surprise of troops on Skagos, during peacetime, will provide sucess.
