Default Contest: Explore Rome Total History and Achieve Reputation

Now that the new version 2.0 is finally out I want to draw you attention on the news regarding ancillaries:

** Some specific ancillaries have been added to illustrate certain ports in irregular positions without a land connection to the
capital, such as Emporiae, Tyras, Tylis, Pharos, Laodicea, and Mago. In these cases, when you build the port, the ancillary will
turn up to explain how it was founded and why it was important.
Similar has been done for a number of forts, namely Alauna, Samarobriva, Durocortorum, Cenabum, Bibracte, Vienna, Darioritum,
Pompaelo, Salamantica, Ilerda, Verona, Bracara, Serdica, Tylis, Elis, Samos, Amastris, Gangra, Gordion, Tavium, Kotais, Arados,
Byblos, Gadara, Philadelphia, Lynxama, Thamondocana, and many more. These ancillaries usually tell the name of the fort together
with some interesting notion on the history of the place and maybe their personal story. To get these ancillaries it is
necessary to conquer the fort with a general.
Many other ancillaries have been added for spies reaching periferic cities of the game. Now it is a worthy deed to send your
explorers to cities such as Thule, Kasia, Pattala, Ubar, or Axum, because in any case you can expect to make some interesting
discoveries, extraordinary persons to add to your retinue or rare animals to present to your king and the people at home. There
is also a number of famous explorers ready to do this, especially in Egypt and Nubia.
Many ancillaries have been added for admirals, especially historic pirates and similar. Finally a number of ancillaries has been
added for Pontus (retinue of Mithridates the Great) and Armenia (nobility titles).
Some ancillaries have now veiled interests, which means they might stir up some unrest, but you won't know exactly, because you
are only warned not to trust them blindly. To learn if the allegations are true and how dangerous they actually are, you need to
    test them.
Maybe the announcement is a bit cryptic, but I want to launch a little contest to make clear what it means.

It says that there is a number of ancillaries hidden in specific places and the challenge is to be the first to achieve them and post a screenshot in this thread.

As a reward for the winner I promise to rep him for his post and invite all other readers to do the same. So it might be quite rewarding.

But I guess you need some hint to let you know what to do exactly, because not every ancillary can be achieved by any nation and any type of unit (general or spy)

With some forts you might need a historic atlas to understand where to search it, but in any case I will add the region, so you're not completely lost.

The following list specifies useful combinations.

Thule / city in Scandiae / spy / any faction
Kasia / city in Issedona / spy / any faction

Onuba/ fort in Baetica / general / carthage, spain
Emain Macha / fort in Hibernia / general / britons

Whoever presents a screenshot with an ancillariy achieved in one of these towns will gain reputation.
There are many other ancillaries around the map and if you find someone particularly interesting you may post it too.

    What will you discover?

This is one simple example. The character Areus has moved into Cydonia and received the ancillary Eumaridas who tells him about the pirate plague in Crete, his efforts against it and his reward by the Athenians.

In this case we are talking about a real historic person with his true story and the same goes for many others, but there are also a few fun entries taken from literature, mythology, cinema or other sources.

Anyway you can expect some really hot and interesting encounters, especially with a number of beautiful princesses!

Always wanted to learn more about this part of RTW mechanics.

So turn 9 rolls around and I find this. So hey there, low hanging fruit.

    Code:
    {StratoniceSyra}	Stratonice Syra
So, what exactly do you do?

    Code:
    Ancillary StratoniceSyra
        Image eastern_princess4_ancillary.tga
        Unique
        ExcludedAncillaries Stratonice3, Cleopatra, Apame3
        ExcludeCultures barbarian
        Description StratoniceSyra_desc
        EffectsDescription StratoniceSyra_effects_desc
        Effect Influence 1
        Effect Combat_V_Seleucid 1
        Effect Combat_V_Macedon 1
        Effect MovementPoints -2
    Code:
    Trigger trigger_StratoniceSyra
        WhenToTest GeneralCaptureSettlement
        Condition SettlementName Antioch
              and Attribute Command >= 4
              and IsGeneral
              and not FactionType seleucid
              and I_TurnNumber >=  2
              and I_TurnNumber <=  119

        AcquireAncillary StratoniceSyra chance 80
I see, so if a Non-Seleucid General has 4+ Stars and is able to Capture Antioch between turns 2 and 119, you'll fall into his lap 80% of the time.

And that's the only way to get you. (So if it didn't work, either reload and take settlement again or lose it and retake it.

    Did you feel lucky?

I left her in Antioch with a general who've very influential. Antioch will probably be Pontus' base from which we will project missiles. They will beg for an end to our deadly storm!

Oh hello there, sorry I broke into your fort here. The king of Pontus sent me and you are?

Looks like a typo? Should be "...ready to surrender and offers to..."

    Code:
    {Paphlagonian}	Paphlagonian King
Hmm, well I guess it would be ok to drag around a king with me, but my boss might disagree...

    Code:
    Ancillary Paphlagonian
        Image a2063_ancillary.tga
        Description Paphlagonian_desc
        EffectsDescription Paphlagonian_effects_desc
        Effect Command 1
        Effect Influence 1
        Effect Unrest 2
Welp. (He'll be useful... I sent my generals out in pairs so he can always be with the fighter and not the governor).

    Code:
    ;-------------------------------------<br>- sig Gangra
    Trigger trigger_Paphlagonian_pontus

              and FactionType gauls
              and not EndedInSettlement
              and I_FactionNearTile gauls 1 183,131
              and not WorldwideAncillaryExists Paphlagonian

        AcquireAncillary Paphlagonian chance 75

    ;-------------------------------------<br>- sig Gangra
    Trigger trigger_Paphlagonian_romans_senate
        WhenToTest GeneralCaptureResidence
        Condition IsGeneral
              and FactionType romans_senate
              and not EndedInSettlement
              and I_FactionNearTile romans_senate 1 183,131
              and not WorldwideAncillaryExists Paphlagonian

        AcquireAncillary Paphlagonian chance 75
Ok, so if I take your home as either Pontus, Gauls or Independent Kingdoms, you'll work for me 75% of the time. Neat.

You're right, that's a typo. The portrait is also a bit underwhelming and the next version will have a better one with crown.
