    That's easy. Go to RTH/data/world/maps/campaign/imperial_campaign

    Open descr_strat.txt

One of the first lines is:
    end_date 14 summer
    Change it to:
    end_date 476 summer

Strategic options drive the game ... as well as map accuracy: 16 roads to cross the Alpes!

You can count 16 different passages across the Alpes, each based on real mountain passes. You can clearly distinguish the St. Bernards, the St. Gotthard, the Engadin valley and the Brenner pass, as well as several others.

Note: To showcase the possibilities the leader's movement points have been enhanced. This picture comes actually from RTH 1.8. In the latest version RTH 2.0 some passes in the Western Alpes have been altered for even more accuracy. Thus Mont Cenis has been closed, because it was unknown before Emperor Constantine first used it in the 4th century AD. To compensate, the Little and Great St. Bernhard have been designed more accurately. Hannibal probably took the Little St. Bernhard and this gives the player the possibility to follow his footsteps most precisely.

Crashes sometimes happen. They even happen in Vanilla. They are no big problem as long as you are able to restart the game from the previous save. A crash is serious when it doesn't allow to continue.

If you want to report a crash, do it here: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...ot-Fixes/page3 and try to be as circumstantiated as possible. Describe the situation in which it occured. Which is the year, the faction, what were you or the computer doing at the moment? All information helps to understand the reason for the crash and if it is a serious problem find a solution.

In general the mod is quite stable, but to give you an idea of what may happen, here is a list of possible crashes with some hint on how to resolve or report it.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------
    5. DEBUG
    -----------------------------------------------------------------

Some bugs have been observed in the past and could reappear during gameplay. The following instructions may help to sort out and resolve eventual problems.

    - Sometimes the game crashes while calculating the computer moves for the next turn. This is a bug of the vanilla game. To resolve the situation reload your last game save or autosave, but before clicking the Next Turn button move one or two of your units at random, just to create some different interaction with your neighbors. This helps the engine to create different algorithms and calculate the turn correctly. Then click Next Turn and watch how the game proceeds.

    - Sometimes the game freezes while loading a battle. This means that you and your opponent are probably on a tiny landbridge and the engine cannot find enough room to deploy the armies on the battle map. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to exit the game and restart. Then reload and either avoid to enter the battle or resolve it in automatic. The map has over 100 land bridges and only a part of them has been tested. When you are on a land bridge, a tiny island or a narrow promontory you should always consider that the terrain might hinder the deployment of your armies. It is therefore a good advice to save your game before entering such a battle.

    - Sometimes the game crashes while loading a battle. In this case you usually get an error message reading that the texture of a certain unit has not been found. This is a genuine bug owned to a missing file or a wrong line in the descr_model_battle.txt file. We have tried to eliminate all bugs of this kind, but if it happens please report the problem on the forum annotating the missing file or the unit in question. This is the address:
    http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...-and-Hot-Fixes
To continue the game you can either wait for a solution on the message board or resolve the battle in automatic.

    - Sometimes the game crashes while loading a battle without error message, apparently with no reason. Since this had never happened before the introduction of RS battle environments, we suppose that it occurs due to certain rare weather and light conditions, an explanation substantiated by the fact that the same battle on second tries always loads without problem. If you make different observations on this bug or know the cause, please report on our forum.

    - The game will always crash when you push the Senate button. Since there is only one Roman faction, the Senate has been disabled, so simply don't push that button.

    Thanks everybody for downloading.
I'm leaving for my summer holiday and will be offline for three weeks.
But it seems that most of you are playing without major problems.
If you see a newbie getting lost, please be so kind to help him with your expertise.
    I'll be back in August.
Have fun and don't forget to enjoy the summer from time to time.

I saw your signature, read some of the information about the game on the download thread, and now I am downloading it. It's almost midnight.

I really like everything I've read so far; and I am very excited to see if it lives up. The concept of a well polished RTW mod (and that map of yours) is exciting!

I have a complaint, why stick with the Vanilla rosters? Can I download other unit mods to satisfy, or will this cause to crash? I thought you had 200 reskinned units?

This mod is looking great! Europa Barbarorum couldn't keep my attention, but I remember having fun with the 1.8 version a while back. Currently downloading 2.0, keep up the good work! What's the recommended difficulty for this? M/M?

M/M is good for beginners. I usually play VH/H.

Thanks for all your comments. I'm currently not at home and can answer only in a very short manner.

I can do that when I'm back from my holiday. Anybody else having problems with the current download site?

What are OP hoplites? Sorry I'm not good at guessing abbreviations. If you give me a description or a link I'll consider it for the next edition.

Yes, there are about 200 reskinned units, but we also kept many vanilla units. To change that we'd need more collaborators. Other unit mods will probably cause a crash. If you have something good to propose, we might try to include it in the next edition.
