Got a mission to marry Faction Heir...

So I've got a mission handed to me by the council; marry the faction heir to a certain princess within my faction. Sounds good, she's a pretty good princess (not that it matters, I give all my princesses great traits using the console before marrying them off to my generals or family members).

As it turns out, she can't marry him. Her sister can't either, and I have no other princesses to see if it is just those two princesses or if the man in question is simply not able to marry.


Anyone know a reason why the game would give me a mission to complete a marriage that isn't possible?

Is there any chance that they are the sisters of the faction heir? Perhaps, the game doesn't allow incestuous relationships to happen. In case the two princesses are bugged, you can check it by trying to marry them with another family member of your kingdom or of the other christian factions. Unless you have already conquered half the map, then there must be a couple of available family members. So if your princesses still can't marry anyone, then something is bugged. Alternatively, you can try to marry them with any available heir of the other factions, sending a diplomat to negotiate with the relevant kingdom.

They are not his sisters. I'll try seeing if I can marry them to anyone else tomorrow when I get the chance. I haven't had much of a chance to experiment up to this point because of a lack of unmarried men in my faction, but I'll get on it next session.

I played around with it a bit more, and it seems they are able to marry anyone but my Faction Heir. (I can have them attempt to seduce enemy generals and can also offer marriage to other faction leaders/heirs).

I forgot to mention this earlier but I am on SS6.4 Early Campaign as Crusader States using Bugfix Compilation v1.27
