    House Lannister

annister is an old and powerful house, descended from Lann the Clever by through the female line, they are the past King's of the Rock and the current Lord Paramount's of the Westerlands. Known for their fabulous wealth and their impenetrable and awe inspiring seat of Casterly Rock they are one of the eight houses that dominate the Seven Kingdoms and well aware of this. Their words are "Hear Me Roar!" but Lord and smallfolk alike know that their chosen words are truer, "A Lannister Pays His Debts."

    Casterly Rock

"All the gold in Casterly Rock...”: A famously rich region, the vaults of Casterly Rock are said to be filled with more gold than those of any other city or castle in Westeros.
All characters start with an additional 50,000 Gold Dragons.

Talent for Coin: It is one thing to amass a fortune, and another to expand it. The Lannisters have done just that for centuries and the Lord of House Lannister get +10% income per year.

Ancient Fortress: The Rock was built in or before the Age of Heroes, making it at least 8,000 years old, possibly older. It is carved into a great stone hill, giving it excellent natural defenses, which are added to by thick walls and towers. Casterly Rock has never been taken in recorded history. It is the second largest castle behind Harrenhal.
+3 to defense rolls and can garrison an additional 200% of its levy. If the fortress does not have at least 1,000 men protecting it, -1 to siege rolls.

The Bowels of the Rock: The rocks prisons are renowned as the foulest and darkest prisons in the world, worse than the black cells.
-3 to escape rolls when captured in the rock.

The Harbor of the Rock: An unusual site, the Rock even has a harbor carved into the mountains complete with wharves and dockyards for trading ships. Not big enough to hold it's own fleet but surely large enough to allow trade directly to the Lannister fortress.
    +5% income bonus.

    Buildings
Level 3 Major Dockyard-----20% income +2250 naval pts 15% cheaper naval mercs
Level 3 Trade Hub-----20% income +1 trade route
Level 2 Militia Armory----- +1000 land pts 15% cheaper professional troop hire

    Eldred Lannister (62)--Great Uncle

    -Jason Lannister ----Deceased
+ Wife: Johanna Lannister nee Westerling (42)

    -- Lord Tyrek Lannister (21)
    -- Tyren Lannister (19)
    -- Myrcela Lannister (13)

    Tyrek Lannister,

Serious as a youth and even now, Tyrek was kept away from the fighting and tumult of the Dance of Dragons. After the war his father began to second guess himself publicly, launch short bursts of anger and became the topic of many unfavorable conversations. One morning he was found in his room with an excess of wine and milk of the poppy, and Casterly Rock thus passed to Tyrek. He is a no non-sense character with intent to move swiftly to ensure the Westerlands keep peace and that his house survive the war.
    2- duel 1- survival 2- wealth 1-charisma 1- battle

    Tyren Lannister,

Follows the Maester and accountants of Casterly Rock around more often than not, Tyrek insisted he learn how to make himself more useful to his ends.
Growing to be quite the charming young man. He is the amiable face of House Lannister and handles all non-essential dealings.

    Myrcella Lannister,
Young and wide eyed, she seems to be having a difficult time with the passing of her father. She spends most of her time alone reading. Alone with a full guard, that is.

A merchant of King's Landing arrives to Casterly Rock and requests an audience with Lord Tyrek.

Lord Tyrek received the merchant in his chambers as he took notes and read transcripts. He did not look up as the man was shown in front of his desk. He was not prompted to sit, but not directed to stand. The knight that led him in stood by in silence as Tyrek kept writing.

Vernon was not surprized. He was used to noblemen being pricks

"Milord Lannister. I am Vernon of Rayonet, a renowned merchant. I've come seeking a loan."

He tried to sound as mannered as possible. Hard thing for a man like him

Vernon I have dozens of men asking for money daily. Half of them claim to be the next prodigal merchant. What is your trade and what do you have to offer? Lord Lannister asked all this without looking up from the several papers he was reading

"I milord, own several succesful bath-houses in King's Landing. This has given me some influence in the city's affairs. Should you grant me this loan, I will only get more influence. Having a powerful friend in King's Landing is something you would be interested, aye? I am not an ungrateful person. I'd remember what you did for me."

Tyrek Lannister put his writing utensil down and looked toward the merchant. He then looked at his guard and tapped on his desk rhythmically. Looking back at The merchant he squinted his eyes and said sternly, By bath houses you mean of course whore houses. House Lannister will not be associated with such nonsense. House Lannister will not find your exploits Mister Vernon. Tyrek then waved his hand and the guard ushered him out of the room regardless of the words spoken. The direction taken out of his office however was not by that which they arrived. As they passed a door the merchant was stopped and the knight knocked three times to be answered by Tyren Lannister. His golden hair and charismatic smile put most people at ease, his demeanor very different from his brothers. Tyren looked at the guard and then at the merchant. He inclined his head and asked, You are bei escorted out aren't you? I am Tyren Lannister, please speak with me as we walk out together. I can correctly assume you came asking for something yes?

Vernon said not a word as he was being "escorted" out. Who would've known lords were still prudish?

He was a bit surprized when the knight stopped and knocked on the door, and even more surprized when another Lannister came out of it. Having no choice he walked alongside him

"Aye. I came asking for money. I guess Lord Tyrek was not in a generous mood."

My Brother 'Reks has a difficult way about him. House Lannister is a house on the spotlight at all times however so it serves him well. Bathhouses Correct Mister Vernon? the young mans smile broadened to one side as he said it. He was getting used to his new role for house Lannister, more so, he was beginning to enjoy it. Come Vernon, I live here too and this is Casterly Rock, did you really think I would have no one know you and what you do? The real question is how much are you looking for?

No fool this Tyren. Vernon wondered what he thought about his background; former mercenary now turned merchant/criminal. Not an appealing investment

"I'd be looking for 100.000 golden dragons, or even more, if you're willing. I plan a big move, one that'll establish me as one of the richest men in all Westeros."

A raven is returned from Winterfell, agreeing to trade with the Casterly Rock and welcoming their attempts to reforge bonds with the other kingdoms.

Details Vernon details, when one is asked for THAT kind of investment, one must have more than faith. Giving away money is how rich men go poor. Tyren said with a smile. The tone behind that smile was more serious however. 25,000 with little detail, 50,000 with an abundance of detail, and another 50,000 if you can show me progress with the first. Those are the parameters which we are looking at for now. Just so you may have an idea.

Vernon nodded. He understood. Giving a small fortune to a cripple veteran on the pretext he'll pay you back with interest, it took a load of faith.

"It'll bore you. It bores me even, but if that's what you wish."

He took a deep breath while he thought how to explain it. He was bad with words

"I plan to enlargen me guildhouse, but that'll be done with my own capital. It'll cost me 90,000 dragons. After that's done, it'll allow me to expand me current bath-houses and rebuild on the one that was burned. Accidental fire, the goldcloaks say.
To maximize this remodelation of my establishments I'd require 300,000 dragons. 60,000 each for a total of five buildings.
After that's done, if my calculations are correct I'd be earning about 170,000 dragons per year, only from the bath-houses."

    Vernon sounded confident about it

"You see? It is the safest bet you can make. You'd be guaranteed to get your money back plus the interest."

With the war being settled, Ser Benjen Tully approaches on horseback with a small retiniue of household knights and retainers the mighty Casterlyrock, the inpenetrable seat of House Lannister for centuries.
Being informed upon the last Lord Lannister's death, he asks polite at the gates for an audience with Lord Tyrek Lannister.

VR- Tyren listened intently at the mans plan and began thinking on it. His mind raced, trying to draw whatever conclusions of the plan that he could. He eventually wound up here, Well then, 50,000 dragons it is. You will get it soon, not now and certainly not here. But you will. I will keep an eye on your progress and you may expect more after. Now for the unpleasant part, and I do apologize for this part because I dislike its, unrefined manner. Tyren stopped his gait and looked Vernon in the eyes, This is House Lannister, if I get the impression that you have little intention on paying us back, I will come for you and it will not be pleasant for you. I hope we understand each other. Tyren then went back to his lighter voice, As far as return payment, on our first investment you have 3 years to make a payment. Then it is up to you how you pay us back but it will accrue interest. The interest will be based on the lending amount, not the time it takes to pay back. 2,000 dragons for every 10,000 were my thoughts. How does any and all this sound to you?

    ----------

LD- help me with who Benjen is please :p

Benjen Tully was allowed entrance with his retinue as they all strode through Casterly Rock on horseback. Many whispered here and there about the group riding through. They arrive to the keep and are welcomed by the Tyrek and Myrcella Lannister. Tyrek bowed to his guest and welcomed them casually,
I am Lord Tyrek Lannister, and this is the Rock. This is my little sister Myrcella.

Vernon nodded. Not at all the sum he had asked for. But something was something

"A 1,000 per 10,000 sounds fairer, milord of Lannister. I would even consider 1,500 per 10,000 if the loaned amount would be 100,000. But 2,000 per 10,000 is rather restrictive."

OOC: The uncle of Lord Tully, 26 year old knight and former sellsword from Essos, where they called him Bloodpike. He's next to Lord Harren, the young Lord the only male Tully, rest are females. At the recent Council it seems that he will now overtake the office of regency from Ser Vance, since Lord Tully is atm around 9 years old.

The Lord Regent of the Trident nodded polite into her direction, though she was a mere child.
"A fine girl, mylord", he replied polite, feeling remembered of his own nephew when seeing her, "In either way, I came for a lot of reasons, mainly because of the recent war we had. But no matter the troubles our families had, I came as well to pay my respect towards the deceased Lord Jason, a man I have never learnt to know, as I never faced the Westerlands in open battle and had recently returned from my exile in Essos. May the Seven guard him and bring peace to his soul."

Well to be fair not many faced my father in open combat. Tyrek thought
then I receive you graciously, please accompany me inside where we will find you and your men food and drink. I trust your journey was a safe one. Tyrek walked with Tully through the Halls of Casterly Rock. Portraits of grandeur littered the walls and others of Lannisport did as well. Tyrek saw them situated and fed and then began, So you were not subject to the rigors of the recent war correct? I was in study of finance and had little to do with it myself. Yet all the world finds that I have something to atone for. I trust you've heard of my Fathers indecision. But it has crossed my attention that the Riverlands finds itself in a precarious situation as well.

"I partly participated and would have faced the Stormlands, if it was not for our steward, the former Lord Regent Vance to crush Lord Caron's host with the aid of Lord Darry", Ser Benjen replied with a slight grin, before getting serious again, "Anyways, you have heard right - when it comes to our lands, the damages being done by the Westerlands leave us in a peculiar state in terms of the comeing winter. Due to the war our grain stocks had been reduced and maybe some have heard in the Westerlands even upon the tragedy of Harrenhal, where an entirely family was nearly wiped out due to the Northmen, because they fought under the wrong banner. All the crown did was repaying us a small sum of mere 10,000 dragons for each of the lords, who became victim of the raids from sides of your vassals, while other Houses suffered from our allies. Sadly, I think the sum is low, compared to what Pinkmaiden has faced during the war.
Thus, we kindly ask you to maybe add more to the reparations of the deceased Queen of Westeros, as you see fit and perhaps a sign of aid in form of grain for the regions, we have to supply.

Remember, that I can't force you to anything, as those vassals are my problem - yet it might give you a better reputation among them, if the Riverlands and the Westerlands can show that they are able to deal with the past, while leaveing the last war behind in union under new regencys, from which both our kingdoms shall benefit. In return, I would see my House in your debt."

Tyrek listened to the man speak intently. The Riverlands were an opportunity he could not let slip, but everyone was looking for gold and it was troubling for finances as a whole. Lord Regent, the Westerlands did not hep the Riverlands in keeping its land whole, so I shall play a part in the rebuild. My father made many mistakes, but the Young Lord Tully shall have nothing to fear from me. There is one matter I would like to discuss also, your Lord is young, so too is my fair sister. A betrothal to mend the fences of our regions, coupled with a financial investment I would hope will be the beginnings of good relations between the Riverlands and the Westerlands. Tyrek took a sip of water from his goblet and cheese from the table. His mind raced because there were a variety of issues that needed to be solved, and he lack of suitors plagued him. With the Tully words, he could not ask for a better suited house for his little sister.
She is a couple years older than your Lord, but still young. 40,000 dragons can be contributed to the cause of Riverlands rebuild I think by the way, I hope that is a suitable start
