    Default RP Opportunity

Would anyone (preferably not a Vale player) care to RP the mountain clans of the Vale, whose stronghold is Darkmoor? I am going to be running an RP around them starting soon and while I am happy to RP them myself, I'd prefer to have an unpredictable opponent.

The RP will be open to any Vale player, hedge knight, etc who wants to participate.

I believe I could do this. At least it's something new and thus I'm not at a total loss as to what's happening and why.

Cool, As for scale, this is going to be micro. THe Vale forces will not number more than 1500. For the clans I think it would be cool to have three "chieftains" playable by people. They would have a random assortment of traits (nothing crazy like +5 battles, but a good mix of +2 in a lot of things). This RP will be live and in color in terms of duels, etc. So the risk will be there as well as the reward.

As for Clan military forces I would also like something distinct. Clansmen would probably be jacks of all trade in terms of weapons, with archers being able to drop their bows and then engage in close combat. The only thing they will lack completely is cavalry - but the terrain will significantly limit cavalry use anyway.

As for pace, I'm not concerned at all. This is primarily meant to be a bit of a sandbox RP for characters sort of stranded in the Vale. We don't need to rush anything and we don't even need to roll things like traditional battles all the time.

Here's what I propose for the RP on the Mountain Clan side:

I figure each tirbe/tribal alliance can be RPed by up to three different people, but I'd be happy with one person as puppetmaster for all of them and RPing them as they wish. Maybe some of them form stronger alliances, maybe some defect, maybe they fight eachother, maybe they all form a federation to attack the Vale. I'm down for whatever.

I could take the Burned Men for your RP if you'd like, I've always found the mountain clansmen intresting.

Ok here are my initial thoughts,
    1. the Burned men don't exist yet they are an offshoot of the Painted Dogs the emerged some time after the Dance. (This isn't actually important just pointing it out)
    2. The Stats are to low. Your only giving them 6 points which is the equivalent of a 20 year old. These are supposed to be respected clan leaders and should be especially skilled in martial ability. I would also like to see a little more differentiation in the leaders to make them more distinct. I would also give them weapons and armor of some description especially if it is possible for us to Duel them.
    3. I'm assuming clansmen will get some sort of bonus when fighting in their home Terrain?

    Revised Clan Leader Proposal

    Chella
    +2 Battles +3 Duel +4 Scout +2 Pillage

Weapon +3 Bronze Spear (two handed)
    Hide Armor +3 hp
    Timmet

    +4 Battles +4 duels +1 Scout +1 Pillage
Weapons Two + 2 Bronze axes for a total of +4
    Bronze Armor +4 hp
    Shagga

    +3 Battles +2 Duels +2 Scout +3 Pillage

Weapons Crude Iron Sword +1 Duels
+ Hide Armor and Buckler +6 hp +2 Duels

The reason for the Buff to the duel traits and weapons is it would be boring for a fully armored knight to duel a clans man with the bonuses equipment gives

And we can start this off with the clans beginning to raid the provinces around Darkmoor. That would give Arryn a reason to attempt to go and attempt to route out the Mountain clans.

This is just a proposal so I'd like to see your thoughts Ponti

I'm all for adding flavor for the chieftains. As for a cassus belli I've considered maybe a kidnapping. I've got a daughter I've done all with.

I'd like to sign up for this. I'll develop the stone crows and milk snakes and post my chars by the end of the day. Is that all right?

I figured we'd just use this thread, since it's titled "RP Opportunity" and seems a bit broad just for Vale-based RP..

Perhaps we could start RP soon if and when a regency begins, having to do with the education of the royal children (Rhaenyra and Aegon II's children, they are cousins).
It would affect how they grow up, with defining experiences during these formative years of their life.
It would however not necessarily be easy to indoctrinate one of them, especially Rhaenyra's two youngest sons, Aegon the Younger and Viserys, as they are old enough to do thinking of their own. It could get real interesting if regency power continues to shift hands over the years as well, as different regents take different approaches (or no approach at all).

Sorry it took so long. It is dificult to fing inspiration on thoes guys. There is not much info. I was imagening the stone crows to be like, respected for their religious traits. Of course, the barbaric religion on the mountains would be something like a variation of the old gods and being religious would mean oral knowledge of ledgends and secret passages and hidden caves on the mountains. The pathfinders of the mountain clans sort of... so, like the old gods religion, the clans have a spiritual relation to certain places. Whaterfalls can have a meaning, and also the sumit of the mountains. Any ways, that caracteristic would make the storm crows also the closest you can get of a diplomat amongst the clans. The elders of our clan are older than the rest and that give us some kind of wisdom status, but our youth is just as ferocious as any other tribe.

    How about this:

Tork is a corpulent pearson. With a famous apetite, his body size can lead people to think he is slow or weak but incontable man have died for this wrong asumption. His cheeks are round and his belly swolen, but he can strike with the power of a bear. He can lift unimaginable weight and carries a blunt stone mace so heavy it can cruch a man's foot for ever if it fall on it. (Ooc: can it be a unique stone that is more resistent than normal stone, ina way it wouldn't shater with the impact of the blows? To be treated as a normal mace maybe, but with a cool flavor to it. If not i'll just use a bloody club with spikes).

Once the children mocked him for being fat. He ferociously atacked the children who mocked him and people knew then that he would be a dangerous foe.
He started demanding the ledership of the band when a previous leader insisted that he could not have certain pillage that Tork belived belonged to him. The conflict ended up in a duel witch sealed Torks supremaci. But his glutoni would reflect in his leadership and thou loyal to him, his people are well aweare of his personality. He takes the best loot and only manages too keep peace because of the very sussecfull loots of the last few years and his combat skills. Soon he is deamed to have the same fate as his predecessor, as old age comes and winter makes looting more scarse.

Poach's RP is probably going to trigger this event. Remember, the clans do not necessarily get along.
