It was a surprisingly warm North day when Rickard approched Barrowton, they passed by the Barrows of the ancient First Men kings and the Lord Stark paid each grave proper respect and tribute before clubbing along his way. The time hand come to reward his Northmen for their service in the war, he intended to be a kind lord and though Northern loses had been mininmal each lord deserved to know the benefits of the North's new found freedoms and their victory over the southern greens. The Dustins would be but the first. Rickard had spent a year here in Barrowton in his youth and new the men there well, including their Lord Rodrick who they'd called the Ruin after the battle of Harrenhal. A nice town of good Northmen, Rickard had enjoyed his time among the Barrowfolk. Hail! Rickard called to the battlements as he and his guard approched the gates. I am Rickard Stark, I've come to speak with lord Rodrik. He waited to be allowed entrance.

OOC: Mostly Rickard's gonna try to marry off his cousins and such to some of his important vassals. I just need a mod to RP the lords for these conversations.

ooc: unless there's some reason why they wouldn't accept a marriage proposal, I don't see a need to RP it out. That being said I believe there's a cap on NPC marriage alliances limiting it to one sure alliance. Otherwise everyone would marry off dozens of cousins to NPCs to get + modifiers for levy rolls.

OOC: Its only a limit of 1 marriage alliance at the start of the game, Ponti. Others are supposed to be RP/rolled and are allowed Though having dozens of cousins in any family tree seems like a cheap ploy if they're for marriage alliances or not.

Not to mention that wedding the cousin of an LP (particularly your LP) is a good match marrying the cousin of a High Lord or lower wouldn't really be looked upon favorably.

ooc: alright cool. THen I'll just impose one interrim sort of restriction so we don't have a rash of NPC marriages: the character being married off has to be a main. That will at least provide a reward/sacrifice system here with RP consequences and prevent half the extended families of Westeros being married off to the other half.
